A method is proposed to alleviate the cross talk in multiview autostereoscopic three-dimensional displays based on a lenticular sheet. We analyze the positional relationship between subpixels on the image panel and the lenticular sheet. According to this relationship, optimal synthetic images are synthesized to minimize cross talk by correcting the positions of subpixels on the image panel. Experimental results show that the proposed method significantly reduces the cross talk of view images and improves the quality of stereoscopic images.

We propose an autostereoscopic display system that ensures full resolution for multiple users by directional backlight and eye tracking technology. The steerable beam formed by directional backlight can be regarded as the result of sparsely sampling the light field in space. Therefore, we intuitively propose an optimization algorithm based on the characterization for the state of the steerable beams, which is computed in matrix form using the plenoptic function.

The Huizhou Depression in the Pearl River Mouth basin has prospective hydrocarbon potential, with Miocene sandstones as its main oil and gas-bearing reservoir. The sandstones in Miocene formation of the Z21 offshore oil-gas field composed of medium-grained, moderately sorted subarkose and lithic arkose. In this study, a total of six depositional lithofacies, namely Massive fine- to medium-grained sandstone (Sm), ripple cross-laminated fine-grained sandstone (Sr), parallel-laminated siltstone and claystone (Fl), lenticular siltstone (Sl), parallel-bedded fine-grained sandstone (Sp), wavy laminated siltstone (Sw), and two depositional systems, namely nearshore sand bar (SB) and sand sheet (SS) were identified based on core observations and seismic study.

For a multiview autostereoscopic three-dimensional display based on the lenticular lens, the manufacturing errors and inhomogeneities of the lenticular sheet can deteriorate the view image quality. A calibration method is proposed by filtering the pixel mapping of all view images. Each view is first sequentially turned on to show a white test image, and the intensity distribution of every view will be analyzed.

We have built microstructured sheets that rotate, on transmission, the direction of light rays by an arbitrary, but fixed, angle around the sheet normal. These ray-rotation sheets comprise two pairs of confocal lenticular arrays. In addition to rotating the direction of transmitted light rays, our sheets also offset ray position sideways on the scale of the diameter of the lenticules.
