Superolateral dislocation of the intact mandibular condyle (SDIMC) is rare. This case report focuses on a 15-year-old teenager who was involved in a motor vehicle accident as well a literature review regarding the SDIMC. Clinical examination demonstrated a diffuse edema in the midfacial area and a left lateral deflection of the mandible, including an open bite and a crepitation in the symphyseal region. Three-dimensional computed tomography scans were taken, which presented a superolateral dislocation of the left mandibular condyle as well as panfacial fracture. The patient was set in intermaxillary fixation for 2 weeks and underwent subsequent active jaw physiotherapy, the evaluation of which presented satisfactory results. This case study also presents a literature review, which demonstrated 21 well-documented cases of SDIMC. The patients' mean age was of 29 years. The male gender proved to be more prevalent, with road traffic collisions representing the most common form of accident. Type II, with unilateral dislocation, proved to be the most common. The mean reduction time was 7 days. The open methods were the most commonly used reduction methods. Mandible fracture was associated with dislocation in 82% of the cases, with other facial fractures appearing in only 23% of the cases. Patient follow up presented satisfactory results in 59% of the cases.

Dislocation of the mandibular condyle of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) is defined as a clinical condition in which head of the condyle is displaced out of its functional position within the glenoid fossa and posterior slope of the articular eminence Allen and Young in Br J Oral Surg 7:24-30, (1969). Dislocation of the mandibular condyle most commonly occurs in the anterior or anteromedial direction in both traumatic and non-traumatic origin dislocations. Lateral dislocations are generally rare owing to the thickening of the lateral surface of the articular capsule by the lateral ligament that strengthens the lateral surface of the joint Lovely and Copeland in J Can Dent Assoc 47:179-184, (1981).

Background: The aim of this study was to use the Activities of Daily Living which require Internal Rotation (ADLIR) questionnaire to assess the functional internal rotation in patients who had undergone reverse shoulder arthroplasty (RSA) without reattachment of the subscapularis (SSc) tendon at a minimum follow-up of 2 years. The secondary aim was to report the objective range of motion (ROM) and the rate of postoperative instability.
Materials And Methods: All consecutive primary RSA procedures without reattachment of the SSc tendon that were performed using a Delta Xtend prosthesis (an inlay system with a 155° neck-shaft angle) between January 2015 and December 2020 were identified to ensure a minimum follow-up of 2 years.
Septic arthritis of the hip in late childhood leads to different sequelae. These cases are often missed and lead to various disabilities like hip subluxation, limb length discrepancy, and limping. The primary goal is always to reproduce a concentrically reduced stable hip.

Rationale: Cartilage injuries of the femoral head may occur following hip dislocation. As a rare injury, controversy persists regarding ideal treatment of damaged femoral head cartilage. Here we report the case of a patient who developed a large cartilage injury to the femoral head following anterior hip dislocation for which autologous osteochondral mosaicplasty with a graft harvested from the ipsilateral femoral head achieved a satisfactory outcome.
