Objective: The direction of this study was to detect and analyze the specific mechanism of anti-apoptosis in mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) cells caused by high expression of BCL2.

Methods: Bioinformatics was completed in Link omics. GO analysis and KEGG analysis were carried out, and the grope tool of Link omics database was used to evaluate PPI information and other core path analysis information.

Endoscopic submucosal dissection is performed in cases of early gastric cancer, where the risk of lymph node metastasis (LNM) is expected to be negligible, and 12%-21% of these patients are deemed to have undergone non-curative resections based on pathological criteria. In such cases, decisions regarding additional treatments must be made to maximize curability, depending on the anticipated LNM risk. Well-established risk factors for LNM include lymphatic invasion, vascular invasion, deep submucosal invasion, positive vertical margins, and larger tumor size.

Purpose: To report the experience with an alternative to the upper eyelid pentagonal wedge resection technique which results in improved cosmesis due to a greater alignment of incisions with relaxed skin tension lines.

Methods: A retrospective review of all patients who underwent the T-shaped wedge resection by the authors from 2009 to 2017. A horizontal eyelid crease incision is made across the upper eyelid skin.

Aim: This study aimed to evaluate the impact of pterygium excision combined with autologous limbal stem cell transplantation on microvascular density, tear film stability, and corneal wound healing in the management of pterygium.

Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on 317 patients with pterygium who underwent treatment between January 2021 and January 2024. Patients were divided into a control group (pterygium excision alone, n = 161) and a study group (pterygium excision combined with autologous limbal stem cell transplantation, n = 156) based on the surgical approach.

Interplay between the Xer recombination system and the dissemination of antibioresistance in Acinetobacter baumannii.

Antibiotic-resistant infections are a pressing clinical challenge. Plasmids are known to accelerate the emergence of resistance by facilitating horizontal gene transfer of antibiotic resistance genes between bacteria. We explore this question in Acinetobacter baumannii, a globally emerging nosocomial pathogen responsible for a wide range of infections with a worrying accumulation of resistance, particularly involving plasmids.
