The MgCl(2)-enhanced addition of benzyl zinc reagents to N-tert-butanesulfinyl imines proceeds readily at room temperature to afford the N-tert-butanesulfinyl-protected amine products in good yields and diastereomeric ratios. This method is functional group tolerant in both the imine substrate and benzyl zinc coupling partner. Moreover, benzyl zinc reagent addition to the N-tert-butanesulfinyl imine 3o prepared from isopropylidene-protected glyceraldehyde proceeds in high yield and with exceptional selectivity to provide rapid entry to hydroxyethylamine-based aspartyl protease inhibitors.

This article focusing on examining the function and further, molecular function of SHP2 in ovarian cancer (OC). For the molecular mechanism, bioinformatics was applied to study the specifically expressed genes in ovarian cancer ; the western blotting was applied to identify the EGF, p-SHP2, ZEB1, and E-Cadherin expressions in ovarian cancer tissue and pair adjacent tissue; then SKOV3 cells were treated with EGF and infected with E-Cadherin overexpression lentivirus, and then cells were treated with benzyl butyl phthalate and IRS-1 respectively. Detection of expression of p-SHP2, ZEB1, E-Cadherin, α3-integrin, p-Src, p-SMAD2, Snail, Slug and SKOV3 cells of migration and invasion abilities were detected using Western blot method and cell scratch assay and Transwell assay; Progression of ovarian cancer was detected using subcutaneous tumor transplantation assay in nude mice and HE staining method and immunocyto.

Two new zinc(II) complexes, tri-ethyl-ammonium di-chlorido-[2-(4-nitro-phen-yl)-4-phenyl-quinolin-8-olato]zinc(II), (CHN){Zn(CHNO)Cl] (), and bis-(tri-ethyl-ammonium) {2,2'-[1,4-phenyl-enebis(nitrilo-methyl-idyne)]diphenolato}bis-[di-chlorido-zinc(II)], (CHN)[Zn(CHNO)Cl] (), were synthesized and their structures were determined using ESI-MS spectrometry, H NMR spectroscopy, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The results showed that the ligands 2-(4-nitro-phen-yl)-4-phenyl-quinolin-8-ol () and ,'-bis-(2-hy-droxy-benzyl-idene)benzene-1,4-di-amine () were deprotonated by tri-ethyl-amine, forming the counter-ion EtNH, which inter-acts an N-H⋯O hydrogen bond with the ligand. The Zn atoms have a distorted trigonal-pyramidal () and distorted tetra-hedral () geometries with a coord-ination number of four, coordinating with the ligands N and O atoms.

The growing use of artificial turf in place of natural turf in residential, recreational and commercial settings has raised concerns regarding its potential impact on human health. A systematic review of databases revealed 5673 articles of which, 30 were deemed eligible. Those performing total concentration analyses, bioaccessibility analyses or human health risk assessments (HHRAs) of artificial turf fibres or crumb rubber infill were of interest.

Objective: Despite the rising popularity of disposable e-cigarettes, little is known about their chemical characteristics, or their impact on users' health. This work attempts to summarize current knowledge about chemical composition and known health effects of disposable e-cigarettes.
Methods: The literature search was performed in February and March 2024 in Pub Med and Science Direct databases (no time range) by the terms 'disposable electronic cigarette', 'disposable e-cigarette', 'disposable e-cigs', 'cig-a-like e-cigarette', 'cig-a-like electronic cigarette'.

The air-stable copper(II) catalyst [Cu(FOX-L1)(MeCN)][OTf] () is prepared from a fused meso-dipyridylbisoxazolidine (FOX-L1) and CuBr, followed by treatment with AgOTf. The compound is a catalyst for the dehydration of 1-phenylethanol to styrene (+HO) in over 95% yield at 1 mol % catalyst loading. Other alcohols (benzylic, tertiary, or allylic) are also efficiently dehydrated by this catalyst.
