We describe a new transvaginal technique for cystocoele repair. We prospectively evaluated patients with moderate and high-grade cystocoele who underwent repair with the new transvaginal repair between 2000 and June 2009. Preoperative evaluation included history and physical examination using the Pelvic Organ Prolapse Quantification, urine culture, residual urine measurement, urodinamycs and cystoscopy. We performed the repair in 76 patients with a mean age of 65.24 years (range, 36 to 84 years), wit anatomical cure in 72 (95%) patients. Four (5%) patients had recurrent cystocoele, 3 (4%) patients claimed residual sensory urgency and 4 (5%) stress urinary incontinence (SUI) after the operation. The operation is safe, simple, and provides good anatomic results with minimal complications.
Endovascular repair has significantly improved the treatment of aortic aneurysms, particularly in older and high-risk patients. However, many studies have not found significant differences in long-term outcomes when comparing open and endovascular repair methods. Additionally, endovascular repair is associated with a higher rate of aortic-related reinterventions compared to open repair (OR), sometimes necessitating late open surgical conversion (LOSC).
Aim: This study aims to evaluate the impact of early scapular rehabilitation training in patients after rotator cuff injury. Furthermore, it sought to analyze the application of this approach in promoting surgical site healing and enhancing shoulder joint function recovery.
Methods: This retrospective study obtained the clinical data from 74 patients who underwent rotator cuff repair between July 2022 and June 2024.
Aim: This study aims to compare the efficacy of modified single-incision surgery with that of traditional modified Ravitch surgery for the repair of pectus excavatum in pediatric patients.
Methods: In this retrospective study, we included patients who underwent surgical correction for sternal depression from January 2015 to December 2020 across four major medical centers. Patients were categorized into two specific groups on the basis of the surgical technique employed: the modified single-incision surgery group, which comprised patients treated using the novel single-incision approach, and the traditional modified Ravitch surgery group, which included patients who received the conventional Ravitch surgery with multiple incisions.

Introduction: Spinal cord injury (SCI) is a severe neurological disease characterized by significant motor, sensory, and autonomic dysfunctions. SCI is a major global disability cause, often resulting in long-term neurological impairments due to the impeded regeneration and remyelination of axons. A SCI interferes with communication between the brain and the spinal cord networks that control neurological functions.
Introduction: The use of cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) can induce sterile systemic inflammation that contributes to morbidity and mortality, especially in children. Patients have been found to have increased expression of cytokines and transmigration of leukocytes during and after CPB. Previous work has demonstrated that the supraphysiologic shear stresses existing during CPB are sufficient to induce proinflammatory behavior in non-adherent monocytes.
