Background: In causal analyses, some third factor may distort the relationship between the exposure and the outcome variables under study, which gives spurious results. In this case, treatment groups and control groups that receive and do not receive the exposure are different from one another in some other essential variables, called confounders.
Method: Place of birth was used as exposure variable and age-specific childhood vaccination status was used as outcome variables.

Simulation training provides health professions learners access to training not readily available to them and in a manner that does not harm patients. Simulation also supports learners to develop dispositions and professional communication and reflect on their biases. This study examines how learners, clinical education faculty, and simulation professionals reflect on diversity and antiracism in simulation and contextualize these reflections with their lived experience.

Background: Risk-versus-benefit optimization required a quantitative comparison of the two. The latter, directly related to effective diagnosis, can be associated to clinical risk. While many strategies have been developed to ascertain radiation risk, there has been a paucity of studies assessing clinical risk, thus limiting the optimization reach to achieve a minimum total risk to patients undergoing imaging examinations.
