Purpose Of Review: Ventricular reserve is emerging a strong predictor of outcome in heart failure and cardiovascular disease. Ventricular reserve is the term used to describe the extent of increase or change in ventricular function that occurs during exercise or pharmacological stress (typically with dobutamine).
Recent Findings: The interest in ventricular reserve lies in its ability to assess viability in coronary artery disease, to predict clinical outcome and response to therapy in patients with heart failure and to screen patients for early cardiovascular disease.
Summary: In this paper, we will review the emerging role of ventricular reserve in heart failure and pulmonary hypertension. We will also explore the mechanisms involved in the pathophysiology of impaired ventricular reserve and discuss future directions of research in the field.

Myocardial work (MW) is a new echocardiographic parameter used in the assessment of cardiac energy expenditure. The aim of the current study was to evaluate changes in left ventricular MW parameters in patients with severe aortic stenosis undergoing transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI). One hundred and thirty five consecutive patients who underwent TAVI at one center were evaluated before and after the procedure using transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) to assess the following MW indices: global constructive work (GCW), global wasted work (GWW), global work index (GWI) and global work efficiency (GWE).

Purpose: This study explores the effects of anthracycline chemotherapy (AC) on breast cancer patients, focusing on changes in body composition, advanced echocardiographic parameters at rest and during exercise, and biomarkers; and subsequently assesses whether these parameters are associated with impaired cardiorespiratory fitness (CRF).
Methods: In this prospective study, we evaluated women with early-stage breast cancer undergoing AC at three visits: before AC, 1 month after, and 6 months post-AC.
Results: The study included 32 women with breast cancer, with functional disability increasing from 9.

Aims: This study aimed to identify factors associated with frailty in heart failure (HF) patients, focusing on demographic, biochemical and health-related variables. It also explored the correlation between frailty and comorbidities such as malnutrition, cognitive impairment and depression, assessing how these factors interact to influence frailty risk.
Methods: A total of 250 HF patients (mean age 73.
