Introduction: Although breast cancer is a major health problem worldwide, metastatic disease to the lower genital tract remains to be a rare event.
Case Report: A 64-year old woman was admitted to our hospital due to newly diagnosed ascites and peripheral edema. A computer tomography had shown peritoneal carcinosis but no clear evidence of an intraabdominal mass. CA 12-5 levels were elevated. Physical examination of the breast did not show any abnormal findings, except for the fact that the patient was post bilateral breast augmentation in 1999. The peritoneal carcinosis was thought to originate from the ovaries or the endometrium and therefore the patient underwent a laparotomy with hysterectomy, bilateral salpingoovariectomy and omentectomy. Histological findings revealed a low differentiated adenocarcinoma, most likely originating from primary breast cancer. A bilateral mammography was suspicious of a tumour in the left breast which was confirmed in a second surgery. Histology showed a moderately differentiated invasive-lobular breast cancer.
Conclusion: To our knowledge, this is the first report about metastasis to the lower genital tract on initial presentation of an invasive-lobular carcinoma. In the differential diagnosis of peritoneal carcinosis, metastases of an invasive-lobular carcinoma should be considered.

Background: Culture medium enriched with Knockout serum replacement (KSR) can produce in vitro mouse sperm, but it is inefficient, strain-specific and contains bovine products, which limits its use in the human clinic. The study aimed to optimize the culture medium for testicular tissue by using plasma rich in growth factors (PRGF) as a serum supplement, addressing the limitations of KSR.
Methods: Immature testicular tissues from NMRI mice were cultured for 14 days to identify the optimal PRGF concentration using histological analysis and tubular integrity scoring.

Purpose: To evaluate the safety and efficacy of lymphatic embolization for primary genital lymphorrhea.
Materials And Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on patients who underwent lymphatic embolization for primary genital lymphorrhea and/or lower limb lymphedema between May 2016 and January 2022 at three specialized lymphatic centers. Following radiological evaluation of genital lymphorrhea, affected lymphatic vessels were selectively embolized to occlude abnormal lymphatic flow using a mixture of N-butyl cyanoacrylate glue and ethiodized oil.

Vascularized composite allograft (VCA) transplantation represents a significant advancement in reconstructive surgery and offers hope to individuals who experienced congenital disorders or severe tissue injuries to restore physical appearance, function, and enhance quality of life. VCA recovery introduces complexities to conventional solid organ recovery, and there remain concerns regarding the potential impact of VCA recovery on non-VCA organs for transplant. The current retrospective study examines deceased donor characteristics and observed-to-expected (O/E) organ yield ratios for 51 VCA donors recovered in the US between July 4, 2014 and March 31, 2024, compared with a contemporary cohort of non-VCA donors recovered in 2023.
