Background And Objective: In patients diagnosed with bladder cancer (BC), muscle-invasive bladder cancer (MIBC) accounts for 25%, including tumors invading the intrinsic muscle layer (T2), surrounding tissues of the bladder (T3), or adjacent pelvic organs/structures (T4). Cryoablation promises to be a novel interventional oncology technique, which effectively induces cellular destruction through freezing and thawing cycles. In addition to the direct tumor-killing effect, it also has a tumor-immune effect.

Cryoablation is a valuable treatment for liver cancer. To investigate the effect of KCl solution on the immunological response post cryoablation, we created a tumor-bearing mice model by subcutaneously implanting Hepal-6 cells in adult Balb/c mice. Subsequently, the mice were randomly assigned to three groups: group A (sham cryoablation), group B (cryoablation), and group C (cryoablation plus KCl solution).

Basal cell carcinoma (BCC) is the most frequent of all cancers, with an increasing incidence. The first line therapy is surgical excision, but topical therapies can be used in low-risk superficial BCCs, while the more advanced, unresectable, or metastatic BCCs benefit from systemic therapies with hedgehog inhibitors and immunotherapy. The purpose of this review is to highlight local and systemic immunotherapies and their efficacy in the management of BCCs.
