Good skin quality not only improved carcass quality but also increased consumer demand for fresh poultry meat. This study aimed to investigate the developmental changes in skin growth and quality of Pekin ducks during 1-6 weeks of age. The skin samples were collected from the breast, back, and thigh tissues of six male ducks at the end of each week.

Anxiety disorder, a prevalent mental health issue, is one of the leading causes of disability worldwide. Damage to the blood-brain barrier (BBB) is implicated in anxiety, but its regulatory mechanisms remain unclear. Herein, we show that adrenomedullin 2 (ADM2), a novel angiogenic growth factor, alleviates autistic and anxiety-like behaviors in mice.

Methods: Two mice ovary cell lines were cultured with Kuntai capsule decoction, and cell apoptosis was detected by MTT assay. A total of 90 SPF Sprague Dawley rats were included in this study.
Background: Acromegaly, although rare, is associated with multiple manifestations and complications; its high morbidity and mortality makes it a challenge. Treatment involves surgery and pharmacological therapies, focusing on biochemical normalization. This study analyzes the biochemical control in Colombian patients with acromegaly, seeking to improve the understanding of the effects of treatments in the management of the disease.

This study investigated the roles of the water-soluble oolong tea extracts (OTE) on S. aureus infection in Caenorhabditis elegans, a promising model to study the host-microbe interactions in vivo.
