The autofocusing separation of nine antibiotics was investigated: tetracycline and chloramphenicol in large-scale batches, and seven others in gram preparation amounts. All except one were found to be heterogeneous in autofocusing, and 2-4 well-characterized fractions emerged. These heterogeneities are described and the industrial utilization of the procedure is suggested.

Background: Based on the low volatility and refractory nature of Tetracycline (TC), excessive use leads to its continuous accumulation in water environments, posing serious risks to the ecological environment and human health. Although a very limited number of nanomaterials capable of simultaneously detecting and removing TC have been fabricated, they generally exist issues associated with a single detection signal ("on" or "off") or low adsorption rates with low adsorption capacities. As a result, it is crucial to develop a reliable technique to achieve ratiometric detection as well as rapid and efficient removal of TC.

Background: Given the challenges of pediatric antibacterial therapy, it is crucial to formulate antibiotics with a lower potential for interaction with dietary interventions and tailor them for optimal administration in children. Chemometric methods allow us to analyze multiple interrelated variables simultaneously and uncover correlations.
Aim: We applied a chemometric approach to examine how food, beverages, antacids, and mineral supplements affect antibiotic bioavailability in adults and children, aiming to explore relationships between antibiotic structure, physicochemical properties, and post-meal changes in pharmacokinetic (PK) parameters.

The misuse of tetracycline in livestock farming leads to environmental residues that promote the proliferation of antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs), particularly tetracycline resistance (tet) genes. Black soldier fly (BSF) larvae, used for organic waste bioconversion, may carry tetracycline residues in their guts, raising concerns about ARG spread. To address this issue, plant-derived additives such as lavender essential oil (LEO) have been explored as alternative antibiotics.

Global consumption and progressive migration of antibiotics through aquatic systems have contributed to their rapid spread, posing significant threats to environmental and human health, and antibiotics have been recognized as emerging pollutants. Hence, extensive approaches have been proposed for antibiotic treatment in water, yielding great achievements. This review systematically summarized current knowledge from contamination characteristics to treatment strategies.

Background: In clinical practice, imiquimod is used to treat Human Papillomavirus (HPV)-related lesions, such as condyloma and Cervical Intraepithelial Neoplasia (CIN). Metronidazole is the most commonly prescribed antibiotic for bacterial vaginosis. The study developed biodegradable imiquimod- and metronidazole-loaded nanofibrous mats and assessed their effectiveness for the topical treatment of cervical cancer, a type of HPV-related lesion.
