Carcinoid crisis is a potentially fatal condition with severe hemodynamic instability. A 25-year-old female with metastatic pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor with recurrent carcinoid crises was posted for surgical debulking. Intraoperatively, the patient was on crisis during manipulation of the lesion by the surgeon, which was unresponsive to octreotide, infusions of phenylephrine, and norepinephrine agents.

Carcinoid heart disease (CHD) affects right-sided valves and causes significant mortality and morbidity. Even though the pathophysiology of the disease is not entirely understood, it is known that chronic exposure to high levels of circulating serotonin is the main factor responsible for developing valvular heart disease. Cardiac imaging plays a critical role in the management of CHD, so the final diagnosis can be performed through multimodal imaging techniques and the measurement of biomarkers.

Introduction And Importance: Surgeons often need to make intraoperative decisions regarding resection of lung tumors without a preoperative pathological diagnosis. Although intraoperative fine-needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) often provides useful diagnostic information, literatures on its usefulness in pulmonary carcinoids is limited.
Case Presentation: A medical chest radiograph revealed an abnormal shadow in the right upper lung field of a 45-year-old Japanese man.

Background And Objective: Malignant transformation (MT) in mature cystic teratoma of the ovary (MCTO) is rare. This descriptive study primarily aims to determine the prevalence rate of MT in MCTO and describe clinicopathologic features, management, and prognosis of patients who developed this rare type of tumor and likewise deliver a review in the light of recent literature.
Methods: This is a descriptive observational study of 22 patients with MT in MCTO at a Level 3 Tertiary Public Hospital in Baguio City, Philippines.
