A Transtheoretical Model (TTM) goal-setting tool was used during strength training in women. Volunteers (mean age = 69, N = 27) were assigned to a strength training only or strength training/behavior change 12-week intervention. A pre/posttest, quasiexperimental design assessed TTM constructs, Health-Related Quality of Life, and functional fitness measurements. Multiple ANCOVAs revealed significant differences between groups on lower body strength (p = .001), upper body flexibility (p = .002), Decisional Balance (p = .024,) and Stage of Change for Exercise (p = .010). Stage of change progression may be enhanced using a goal-setting tool during strength training in older women.

Objectives: This study aimed to determine the effect of 8-week high-intensity interval training (HIIT) on oxidative stress and apoptosis in the hippocampus of male rats with type 2 diabetes (T2D). The study focused on examining the role of proliferator-activated receptor gamma co-activator 1α (PGC1α)/Kelch-like ECH-associated protein Keap1/nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2 (Nrf2) signaling pathway.
Materials And Methods: Twenty-eight 8-week-old Wistar rats were randomly assigned to one of four groups (n=7): control (Con), type 2 diabetes (T2D), exercise (Ex), and exercise + type 2 diabetes (Ex+T2D).

Background: The learning environment (LE) plays a crucial role in the performance and training of medical students. Different tools have been used to assess the LE with various conclusions. However, the John Hopkins Learning Environment Scale (JHLES) which is a relatively newer scale is more specific, less cumbersome to administer, and has a wider scope.

Background: This work focused on the correlation between insulin resistance (IR) and blood lipids (BL) in children with simple obesity, as well as the intervention effects of high-intensity interval training (HIIT) in weight loss in children.
Methods: 80 children aged 6 to 17 years with simple obesity were selected from our hospital and randomly grouped into two groups. Children in the control (Ctrl) group underwent traditional moderate-intensity continuous training (MICT), while those in the other group received HIIT (HIIT group).

3D porous carbon electrodes have attracted significant attention for advancing compressible supercapacitors (SCs) in flexible electronics. The micro- and nanoscale architecture critically influences the mechanical and electrochemical performance of these electrodes. However, achieving a balance between high compressive strength, electrochemical stability, and cost-effective sustainable production remains challenging.

Background: Carbapenem-resistant Gram-negative bacteria and methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) are among WHO's priority pathogens with antimicrobial resistance (AMR). Studies suggest potential impacts of the COVID-19-pandemic on AMR. We described changes in AMR incidence and epidemiology in Germany during the COVID-19-pandemic.
