The paper gives many years experience in following up children with chronic pancreatitis. It shows the clinical polymorphism of pancreatitis that in associated with the specific features of a pathological process in the gastroduodenocholedochopancreatis area. To recognize diseases of the pancreas and to evaluate its function, the authors have developed an effective complex of studies and substantiated adequate therapy for pancreatitis. Evidence is provided that patients can be effectively treated when rehabilitation is correctly organized and aimed at preventing degenerative processes in the pancreas and to preserve its secretory function.
