Antibacterial activity of surgical adhesive films containing various antiseptics in the adhesive layer was studied experimentally. It was shown that the adhesive films containing 0.1 to 1% (in terms of active iodine) of iodopyrone had a stable bactericidal action and were effective against to the main causative agents of surgical infections, i. e. Staphylococcus spp., E. coli, Klebsiella spp., Pseudomonas aeruginosa and others.

Durable and fluorine-free superhydrophobic films were fabricated by a simple two-step process involving the pretreatment of glass substrates with an epoxysilane, which acted as an adhesive. The next step involved the aerosol-assisted chemical vapor deposition of a simple mixture of polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) and SiO nanoparticles (NPs). Various parameters were studied, such as deposition time as well as PDMS and SiO loadings.

Recent advancements in inverse vulcanization have led to the development of sulfur-rich polymers with diverse applications. However, progress is constrained by the harsh high-temperature reaction conditions, limited applicability, and the generation of hazardous HS gas. This study presents an induced IV method utilizing selenium octanoic acid, yielding sulfur-selenium rich polymers with full atom economy, even at a low-temperatures of 100-120 °C.

Adhesion-switchable ultralow-hysteresis polymer ionogels are highly demanded in soft electronics to avoid debonding damage and signal distortion, yet the design and fabrication of such ionogels are challenging. Herein, we propose a novel method to design switchable adhesive ionogels by using binary ionic solvents with two opposite-affinity ionic components. The obtained ionogels exhibit moisture-induced phase separation, facilitating switchable adhesion with a high detaching efficiency (>99%).

Recently, polyamides have been widely used in various fields due to their excellent durability, thermal stability, and other advantageous properties. However, polyamide products that end up in oceans have become a source of microplastics. For this reason, the development of highly degradable polyamides is greatly desired.
