Objective: Valproic acid, frequently prescribed for neurological and psychiatric disorders, can cause hyperammonemia (HA). This retrospective study aimed to investigate the association among the basic characteristics, comorbidities, co-medications, and risk of HA in patients receiving valproic acid.
Materials And Methods: We compared groups with and without HA using data collected from the medical records of adults undergoing valproic acid monitoring between January 1, 2019, and December 31, 2021.

Background: Multiple meta-analyses (MAs) have demonstrated that six pharmacotherapies, including orlistat, liraglutide, phentermine/topiramate, naltrexone/bupropion, semaglutide, and tirzepatide, improve weight loss and weight maintenance. However, few studies have synthesized and evaluated the quality of this evidence.
Objective: To identify the relevant MAs of randomized clinical trials (RCTs) that explored the association between the six pharmacotherapies and obesity-related health outcomes and adverse events (AEs).

Methods: This study adhered to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses 2020 guideline. For this systematic review, we used 3 databases for journal searches: PubMed, ScienceDirect, and Scopus.

Background: Migraine is a neurological disorder that is chronic and presents with episodes of paroxysmal features consisting of multiphase attacks of head pain, along with other symptoms related to neurological dysfunction such as sensitivity to movement, photophobia, phonophobia, nausea, and vomiting. Antiseizure medications are frequently used for the treatment of migraine.
