Purpose Of Study: To report the epidemiological, clinical, therapeutic and evolutionary aspects of rhinoscleroma in ENT departments of university hospitals (Côte d'Ivoire).
Material And Method: Retrospective study of rhinoscleroma conducted in the ENT and head and neck surgery departments in Côte d'Ivoire from January 1980 to December 2008 including the cases of confirmed rhinoscleroma and the treated cases.
Results: Fourteen cases of rhinoscleroma were found in 28 years. The early manifestations were not specific enough so the patients were seen with clinical status with obvious disorders or physical discomfort. Treatment was medical and surgical. Medical therapy was based on streptomycin, thiopenicol or ciprofloxacin administration. Surgery consisted in removing the fibrous adhesions to correct the functional and aesthetic disorders.
Conclusion: Rhinoscleroma has become a more and more rare disease because of the sensitivity to the new molecules. Diagnosis can be difficult and delayed because of its clinical polymorphism.

Background: The melolabial interpolation flap is an effective surgical technique for reconstructing defects in the nasal ala and tip regions. Traditionally, this technique involves waiting for the standard 3-week period before pedicle division.
Objective: To evaluate whether accelerated takedown at 1- or 2-week postflap creation is possible while maintaining the flap's viability and functionality.

Purpose: Neuropathic corneal pain (NCP) has been recognized as a distinct disease, yet treatment options remain limited. The aim of this pilot study was to explore the effectiveness of extranasal neurostimulation (EXNS) as a potential pain relief strategy for individuals with the peripheral component of NCP.
Methods: A retrospective study was performed to identify patients who were diagnosed with refractory peripheral or mixed NCP and subsequently underwent a single session of EXNS.

Objective: The objective was to evaluate the etiology, natural history, and impact of surgical intervention on outcomes of left ventricular assist device (LVAD) patients presenting with intracranial hemorrhage (ICH).
Methods: The authors completed a retrospective review of LVAD patients who presented with ICH at 2 centers between 2013 and 2022. Patients were reviewed for demographic, clinical, and radiographic variables.

Background: CT-guided percutaneous transthoracic needle biopsy is the primary method for diagnosing lung lesions. Widely accepted validated risk prediction models are yet to be developed. A recently published study conducted at Grampians Health Services (GHS) developed two risk prediction models for predicting pneumothorax and intercostal catheter (ICC) insertion.

Nowadays, direct oral anticoagulants (DOACs) represent the gold standard for venous thromboembolism (VTE) treatment and VTE secondary prophylaxis; nevertheless, the percentage of elderly patients in major trials and literature data about DOACs usage for VTE secondary prophylaxis in the elderly are scant. Our retrospective study tried to evaluate low-dose DOACs efficacy and safety for elderly VTE secondary prophylaxis in a real-life setting. A cohort of 73 patients (≥ 75 years) considered at high risk of VTE recurrence was treated with apixaban 2.
