Objective: The aims of this study were to understand if practicing dentists appreciate the difference in criteria for success used in the endodontic and implant literature, to evaluate the perceived outcome of implant therapy compared with endodontic treatment, and to evaluate current and projected utilization of implant and endodontic treatment.
Study Design: A 16-question survey was distributed to 648 dentists who graduated from the University of Connecticut Dental School over the past 30 years.
Results: The response rate was 47%. Forty-nine percent of respondents did not know that different criteria are used in the literature to evaluate implant and root canal treatment. Thirty percent of respondents thought root canal treatment of teeth with necrotic pulp was superior to implants, and only 16% thought retreatment was preferable.
Conclusion: A shift in utilization toward implant treatment was not found; however, a perceived superior outcome of implant compared with endodontic treatment does exist among the dental community.

Intractable implant-associated infections (IAIs) are the primary cause of prosthetic implant failure, particularly in the context of diabetes mellitus. There is an urgent need to design and construct versatile engineered implants integrated with cascade amplification therapeutic modality to significantly improve the treatment of diabetic IAIs. To address this issue, a multi-functional MXene/AgPO@glucose oxidase bio-heterojunction enzyme (M/A@GOx bio-HJzyme) coating is developed, which is decorated with an inert sulfonated polyetheretherketone implant (SP-M/A@G) via hydrothermal treatment and layered deposition.

Background: Regenerative endodontics' primary objective is to establish a favorable environment in the root canal by removing infection, providing a sturdy scaffold, and sealing the apical end of the tooth tightly. These actions should promote pulp regeneration and root development.
Aim: This study evaluated histologically the regenerative potential of injectable hyaluronic acid (HA) hydrogel or collagen with blood clot as scaffolds during revascularization of immature necrotic dog's teeth.

Introduction: We have recently reported the clinical efficacy of mirogabalin for occlusal pain due to post-traumatic trigeminal neuropathic pain (PTTN-occlusal pain) after endodontic treatment according to the International Classification of Orofacial Pain criteria. This study aimed to determine the mirogabalin administration period and timing of dose reduction and suspension for treating this condition based on managing a certain number of cases.
Methods: Patients diagnosed with PTTN-occlusal pain after or during endodontic treatment were included in the study.

Background: Regenerative endodontics requires an innovative delivery system to release antibiotics/growth factors in a sequential trend. This study focuses on developing/characterizing a thermoresponsive core-shell hydrogel designed for targeted drug delivery in endodontics.
Methods: The core-shell chitosan-alginate microparticles were prepared by electrospraying to deliver bone morphogenic protein-2 for 14 days and transforming growth factor-beta 1 (TGF-β1) for 7-14 days.
