Objective: Transfusion-transmissible infections (TTIs) are severe threats to blood safety and public health. A retrospective study of blood donor records from 2015 to 2019 in Shiyan, China, was conducted.
Methods: TTI prevalence was analyzed using ELISA, RT-PCR, and demographic data.

Background/objectives: Cirrhosis is the precursor to most cases of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Understanding the mechanisms leading to the transition from cirrhosis to HCC and identifying key biomarkers is crucial to developing effective screening strategies and reducing HCC-related mortality. DNA methylation is associated with gene inactivation and plays an important role in physiological and pathological processes; however, its role in cirrhosis progression to HCC is unknown.

Glecaprevir/pibrentasvir (G/P) and elbasvir/grazoprevir (EBR/GZR) are effective treatments for chronic hepatitis C (CHC), especially in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD). However, both regimens carry a risk of drug-induced liver injury (DILI). This study investigates the association between renal failure and DILI, using real-world data, and assesses the effectiveness of these treatments in peritoneal dialysis patients.
