Background: Access to fungal disease diagnosis is crucial for reducing mortality, yet it varies widely across Argentina, especially outside Buenos Aires. In regions like Santa Fe and Paraná, where most healthcare facilities are under 150 beds, maintaining specialised mycology labs is challenging.
Objectives: This work describes the establishment and first-year results of a centralised Fungal Disease Response Centre (FDRC) and referral network serving this region, covering approximately 1 million inhabitants.

Background And Purpose: Timely reporting of CTA exams impacts management of acute vascular pathology such as large vessel occlusions, arterial dissection, and ruptured aneurysm as well as a variety of acute non-vascular pathologies. In this study, we examine potential modifiable factors impacting the timeliness of CTA reporting performed in stroke code activations.
Materials And Methods: Observational study of stroke code CTA head and neck exams performed at a single health system (3 emergency departments, 1550 inpatient beds) over four years (1/1/2019-12/31/2023).
Idecabtagene vicleucel (ide-cel) and ciltacabtagene autoleucel (cilta-cel) have revolutionized the treatment of relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma (RRMM), but direct comparisons are lacking. Leveraging an international multicenter RRMM cohort, we compared the outcome of ide-cel ( = 162) versus cilta-cel ( = 42). Co-primary efficacy endpoints of the study were overall response rate (ORR) and progression-free survival (PFS).

Background: Next-generation sequencing (NGS) for Hepatitis B virus (HBV) antiviral resistance (AVR) testing is a highly sensitive diagnostic method, able to detect low-level mutant subpopulations. Our clinical virology laboratory previously transitioned from DNA hybridization (INNO-LiPA) to NGS, initially with the GS Junior System and subsequently the MiSeq. The Oxford Nanopore Technology (ONT) sequencing system was evaluated for HBV resistance testing, with regards to sequencing accuracy and turn-around time.

Introduction: Total hip arthroplasty (THA) is recognized as one of the most effective surgical procedures for the treatment of end-stage hip arthritis. However, the increasing number of primary THA cases has led to a corresponding rise in the frequency of revision surgeries, which are often more complex and challenging due to severe acetabular bone loss. In such cases, managing Paprosky type 3A and 3B defects requires precise implant design and advanced surgical techniques.
