Semen liquefaction and sperm capacitation are the key processes for sperm to acquire forward movement ability. In these processes, semenogelin plays a vital role by directly participating in the formation of semen coagulation, collaborating with other protease and metal ions from the male reproductive tract, and then reacting with the surface of sperm cells, finally involved in the regulation of these processes and ensuring sperm's acquisition of forward movement ability.

Despite extensive research across various modalities, the precise mechanisms of sensory attenuation (SA) remain debated. Forward models suggest that efference copies of motor commands enable the brain to predict and distinguish anticipated changes in self-initiated sensory input. Predictive processing proposes that predictions about upcoming changes in sensory input are not solely based on efference copies, but rather generated in the form of a generative model integrating external, contextual factors, as well.

This study aims to explore comprehensive kinematic patterns of all body joints utilizing a nonlinear functional data analysis (FDA) approach during a step-up task in patients with nonspecific chronic low back pain (NSCLBP). The kinematics of the trunk, pelvis, and upper- and lower-extremities during step-up exercises were assessed in NSCLBP (N = 23) and control (N = 22) groups using a Motion Analysis System. FDA was employed to compare movement-patterns of 15 segments between two groups.

Flexible sweat sensors possess the special potential for continuous non-invasive monitoring of human blood glucose. We put forward a flexible microcolumn array sensor, which is designed for health monitoring by means of detecting glucose levels in sweat and capturing physiological signals related to human movement. With the combination of silk fibroin (SF), waterborne polyurethane (PU), and multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT), this microcolumn film electrode is able to effectively function as a strain sensor benefiting from the superior mechanical performance of PU.

There are still debates regarding the pathophysiology of freezing of gait (FOG) in Parkinson's disease (PD). This study aims to investigate the potential contribution of the nonmotor symptoms in the pathophysiology of FOG. This was a cross-sectional observational cohort study where we enrolled all consecutive PD patients who applied to our movement disorders outpatient clinics at Etlik City Hospital, Ankara, Turkey, between January 2024 and August 2024.
