Redox titration of chromatophores through the region +300 +570 mV at room temperature results in generation of two dark ESR signals, a well-known reaction center signal and a new narrow line. This line is characterized by deltaH pp = 4.2 Oe, g-factor about that of RC and a Lorentzian shape. It is insensitive to illumination. The determination of an RC signal midpoint potential is affected by the presence of the narrow line. Taking into account the superposition of the two ESR signals it was measured to be +(486+/-+/-18)mV.

Based on the enhanced peroxidase-like activity of carbon dots nanozymes (CDszymes), with a specific oxidation reaction of D-amino acid oxidase catalysing the formation of HO from D-amino acid, an ultrasensitive sensing platform, was constructed for the quantitative detection of D-amino acids in saliva. Self-supported ultrathin PtRuMoCoNi high-entropy alloy nanowires (HEANWs) were synthesized by a one-pot co-reduction method, whose peroxidase (POD)-like activity and catalytic mechanism were elaborated in detail. As expected, the PtRuMoCoNi HEANWs showed excellent POD-like activity. It can quickly catalyze the oxidization of colorless 3,3',5,5'-tetramethylbenzidine (TMB) to blue TMB through decomposition of HO to superoxide radicals.
