Triclinic form of 1,2,4,5-tetra-cyclo-hexyl-benzene.

Acta Crystallogr Sect E Struct Rep Online

Department of Chemistry, Tulane University, New Orleans, LA 70118, USA.

Published: January 2008

The mol-ecule of the title compound, C(30)H(46), has a crystallographically imposed inversion center and the cyclo-hexyl groups are oriented with their methine H atoms pointing towards one another (H⋯H = 2.04 Å).

The title compound, -poly[[tri-aqua-sodium]-di-μ-aqua-[tri-aqua-sodium]-μ-(ethane-1,2-di-yl)bis-[(3-meth-oxy-prop-yl)phosphinodi-thiol-ato]], [Na(CHOPS)(HO)] , crystallizes in the triclinic space group 1. The dianionic [CHO(CH)P(=S)(S-)CHCHP(=S)(S-)(CH)OCH] ligand fragments are joined by a dicationic [Na(HO)] cluster that includes the oxygen of the meth-oxy-propyl unit of the ligand to form infinite chains.

Triclinic polymorph of bis-[2-methyl-3-(pyridin-2-yl)imidazo[1,5-]pyridin-2-ium] tetra-chloridocadmium(II).

Acta Crystallogr E Crystallogr Commun

October 2024

Department of Inorganic Chemistry and Technology, Jožef Stefan Institute, Jamova 39, 1000 Ljubljana, Slovenia.

The crystal structure of the title organic-inorganic hybrid salt, (CHN)[CdCl], (I), has been reported with four mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit in a monoclinic cell [Vassilyeva (2021 ▸). , , 7713-7722]. While using two different aldehydes in the oxidative cyclization-condensation involving CHNH·HCl to prepare a new monovalent cation with the imidazo[1,5-]pyridinium skeleton, a new polymorph was obtained for (I) in space group 1 and a unit cell with approximately half the volume of the monoclinic form.

Overt and hidden polymorphism in the binary system involving the Z- and E- isomers of broparestrol.

Int J Pharm

December 2024

Laboratoire SMS, UR 3233, Université de Rouen Normandie, Normandie Université, F76000, Rouen, France. Electronic address:

Broparestrol has been used as a drug to treat acne in the form of a mixture of its two stereoisomers. Although it has been withdrawn from the market, the binary system is rich in polymorphism and understanding the phase behaviour of the binary system involving the E- and Z-isomers is challenging. Physical mixtures do not immediately give rise to equilibrium phase behaviour, whereas recrystallization often leads to metastable phases and the appearance of stable phases can take years.

In this work, a series of novel Pterostilbene-oxime ether-carboxylic acid (POC) derivatives (d1-d10, e1-e10 and 1-13) were designed, synthesized, and characterized by spectroscopic techniques. In order to further determine the absolute configuration of these compounds, one of them, compound d3, was investigated by X-ray single crystal diffraction method. d3 had a triclinic crystal with P-1 space group, and its CHCH and CHN was confirmed as E configuration.
