The mol-ecule of the title compound, [Cu(2)(SO(4))(2)(C(11)H(16)N(4))(2)], sits on a center of symmetry. The Cu(II) atom has a distorted trigonal-bipyramidal coordination geometry comprising three O atoms of the two symmetry-related SO(4) (2-) anions and two N atoms from one bis-(3,5-dimethyl-pyrazol-1-yl)methane ligand.

The present study focuses on the synthesis and structural characterization of a novel dinuclear Cu complex, [tri-chlorido-copper(II)]-μ-chlorido-{bis-[2-hy-droxy-'-(propan-2-yl-idene)benzohydrazide]copper(II)} monohydrate, [CuCl(CHNO)]·HO or [Cu(H )(μ-Cl)CuCl]·HO [H = 2-hy-droxy-'-(propan-2-yl-idene)benzohydrazide]. The complex crystallizes in the monoclinic space group 2/ with one mol-ecule of water, which forms inter-actions with the ligands. The first copper ion is penta-coordinated to two benzohydrazine-derived ligands two nitro-gen and two oxygen atoms, and one bridging chloride, which is also coordinated by the second copper ion alongside three terminal chlorines in a distorted tetra-hedral geometry.

The title compound, bis-[μ-2,2'-(4-1,2,4-triazole-3,5-di-yl)di-acetato]-bis-[di-aqua-copper(II)] dihydrate, [Cu(CHNO)(HO)]·2HO, is a dinuclear octa-hedral Cu triazole-based complex. The central copper atoms are hexa-coordinated by two nitro-gen atoms in the equatorial positions, two equatorial oxygen atoms of two carboxyl-ate substituents in position 3 and 5 of the 1,2,4-triazole ring, and two axial oxygen atoms of two water mol-ecules. Two additional solvent water mol-ecules are linked to the title mol-ecule by O-H⋯N and O⋯H-O hydrogen bonds.

The title copper(II) complex, [Cu(CHNO)(CHN)], consists of a tridentate ligand synthesized from l-leucine and azo-benzene-salicyl-aldehyde. One imidazole mol-ecule is additionally coordinated to the copper(II) ion in the equatorial plane. The crystal structure features N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.

Two new copper dimers, namely, bis-(dimethyl sulfoxide)-tetra-kis-(μ-pyrene-1-carboxyl-ato)dicopper(-), [Cu(CHO)(CHOS)] or [Cu(pyr-COO)(DMSO)] (), and bis-(di-methyl-formamide)-tetra-kis-(μ-pyrene-1-carboxyl-ato)dicopper(-), [Cu(CHO)(CHNO)] or [Cu(pyr-COO)(DMF)] () (pyr = pyrene), were synthesized from the reaction of pyrene-1-carb-oxy-lic acid, copper(II) nitrate and tri-ethyl-amine from solvents DMSO and DMF, respectively. While crystallized in the space group , the crystal structure of is in space group 2/. The Cu atoms have octa-hedral geometries, with four oxygen atoms from carboxyl-ate pyrene ligands occupying the equatorial positions, a solvent mol-ecule coordinating at one of the axial positions, and a Cu⋯Cu contact in the opposite position.
