The advancement of medical 3D printing technology includes several enhancements, such as decreasing the length of surgical procedures and minimizing anesthesia exposure, improving preoperative planning, creating personalized replicas of tissues and bones specific to individual patients, bioprinting, and providing alternatives to human organ transplants. The range of materials accessible for 3D printing within the healthcare industry is significantly narrower when compared with conventional manufacturing techniques. Liquid silicone rubber (LSR) is characterized by its remarkable stability, outstanding biocompatibility, and significant flexibility, thus presenting substantial opportunities for manufacturers of medical devices who are engaged in 3D printing.

Objective: To investigate the health education needs and available resources in schistosomiasis-endemic areas based on integration of community resources, and to explore the operation pathways for health education and promotion during the stage of schistosomiasis elimination.
Methods: A community was selected from Nanji Township, Xinjian District, Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province around the Poyang Lake areas as the study site, and a questionnaire survey on health education needs for schistosomiasis control was conducted among permanent residents at ages of 20 years in the community during the period between June and July, 2022 using face-to-face interviews. In addition, the resources available for the community-based schistosomiasis control health education were investigated among workers in township-level specialized institutions, members of civil society organizations, villagers, teachers and high and primary school students through field observations, field surveys and thematic interviews.

Hydrogel-based soft machines are promising in diverse applications, such as biomedical electronics and soft robotics. However, current fabrication techniques generally struggle to construct multimaterial three-dimensional hydrogel architectures for soft machines and robots, owing to the inherent hydrogel softness from the low-density polymer network nature. Herein, we present a multimaterial cryogenic printing (MCP) technique that can fabricate sophisticated soft hydrogel machines with accurate yet complex architectures and robust multimaterial interfaces.

Purpose: Pulmonary valve replacement (PVR) using bioprosthetic valves is a common procedure performed in patients with repaired Tetralogy of Fallot and other conditions, but these valves frequently become dysfunctional within 15 years of implantation. The causes for early valve failure are not clearly understood. Background Providing patients with sufficient information about the planned procedure they will undergo, including the risks, benefits, and appropriate alternatives, forms a cornerstone of the high standards of care that a urologist provides. Our current standard for delivering information is printed patient information leaflets (PILs) following a consultation with a urologist in a clinic or via telemedicine. Our study considers the feasibility and potential of leveraging quick response (QR) codes for PILs to promote sustainable healthcare practices among urologists.
