A novel series of aryl hydrazono esters (AHE) (1-13) were synthesized (yield 76-98%) to study the oviposition responses in Aedes albopictus (Skuse) mosquitoes for the first time. At a concentration of 10μgml(-1) in dual choice experiment, among the screened compounds, AHE-12 showed remarkable oviposition attractant activity with an oviposition activity index (OAI) of +0.299 (greater than 95% confidence limit) comparable to p-cresol (OAI +0.320) which is well-reported oviposition attractant for Aedes aegypti. Conversely, AHE-10 exhibited highest oviposition deterrent activity with OAI -0.247. The possible utilization of these compounds will be in integrated vector management strategies.

A new fluorescent sensor 2-(2-(3-chloro-4-fluorophenyl)hydrazono)-5,5-dimethyl cyclohexane-1,3-dione (A) and 2-(2-(4-chloro-2-nitrophenyl)hydrazono)-5,5-dimethyl cyclohexane-1,3-dione (B) composed of a β-diketones of aryl hydrazones synthesized by simple and cost-effective method. Various analytical tools analyzed the structural investigations of the synthesized substituted β-diketones of aryl hydrazones like FT-IR, H, C NMR and UV-Vis techniques, Single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies (SCXRD) (for A), Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and fluorescence spectroscopy. SEM also investigates surface morphology modifications of aryl hydrazones and Ni complex.

The current research focuses on the treatment of Cr(III), Fe(III) and Cu(II) metal ions with aryl hydrazone ligand named (E)-4-(((diphenylmethylene)hydrazono)methyl)benzene-1,3-diol (DPHB) to afford four novel solid complexes with high yields. Different characterization approaches, including infrared, UV-visible, and NMR spectroscopies, elemental analyses, and thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA), revealed that all mononuclear crystalline metal chelates with good thermal stability had a six-coordination with octahedral geometry. Density Functional Theory (DFT) computations were used and provided a reasonable explanation for these metal chelates' electrical and structural features.

The indium-mediated allylation of novel 3-(2-Boc-hydrazono)indolin-2-one derivatives, followed by a palladium-catalysed carboamination reaction, is described to afford unprecedented spirocyclic oxindoles in good yields. The method provides an efficient access to both and diastereoisomers of highly functionalized compounds, bearing an N-Boc, 5-substituted pyrazolidine ring at the C3-oxindole spiro junction. The versatility of the method is fully demonstrated starting from a series of substituted isatins and employing a variety of aryl halides in the key cyclization step.

This study represents the synthetic approaches of a new set of 2-(((3-(benzofuran-2-yl)-1-phenyl-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)methylene)hydrazono)-5-(aryl)thiazolidin-4-one derivatives 4-22 aiming to obtain new antiproliferative candidates against human cervix carcinoma cells (Hela) of EGFR PK inhibiting potency. The cancer cells represented promising sensitivity towards the compounds 6, 7, 11, 13, 14, 16, 17 more than or equal to that against the reference drug doxorubicin. In addition, the latter compounds were tested as EGFR protein kinase inhibitors.

Background: Mycobacterium Tuberculosis (Mtb) is the causative pathogen of Tuberculosis (TB) and outbreaks are more common among immunosuppressed persons infected with HIV. The current treatment regimens are lengthy and toxic, yet the therapy has remained unchanged for many decades, so there is a need to find new structures with selective mechanism of action. Moreover, the increased incidence of severe disseminated infections produced by undiagnosed Multidrug-resistant (MDR), worsen clinical treatment and contribute the spread of the disease.
