Two prominent features of cancer cells are abnormal numbers of chromosomes (aneuploidy) and large-scale structural rearrangements of chromosomes. These chromosome aberrations are caused by genomic instabilities inherent to most cancers. Aneuploidy arises through chromosomal instability (CIN) by the persistent loss and gain of whole chromosomes. Chromosomal rearrangements occur through chromosome structure instability (CSI) as a consequence of improper repair of DNA damage. The mechanisms that cause CIN and CSI differ, but the phenotypic consequences of aneuploidy and chromosomal rearrangements may overlap considerably. Both CIN and CSI are associated with advanced stage tumors with increased invasiveness and resistance to chemotherapy, indicating that targeted inhibition of these instabilities might slow tumor growth. Here, we review recent efforts that define the mechanisms and consequences of CIN and CSI.

Background: The clinical and anatomic complexity of patients undergoing percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) has increased significantly over the past 2 decades. Contrast induced nephropathy (CIN) significantly impacts prognosis after PCI, therefore minimizing the risk of CIN is important in improving clinical outcomes. Dynamic Coronary Roadmap (DCR) is a PCI navigation support tool which may decrease CIN by projecting a motion-compensated virtual coronary roadmap overlay on fluoroscopy, potentially reducing iodinated contrast volume during PCI.

Integrating large intelligent reflecting surfaces (IRS) into a millimeter-wave (mmWave) massive multi-input-multi-output (MIMO) technique has been a promising approach to enhance the performance of the wireless communication system with the channel state information (CSI). Most existing work assume that ideal channel estimation can be obtained, but the proposed high-dimensional cascaded MIMO channels and passive reflectors pose a great challenge to these methods. To address the abovementioned problems, we proposed a new method for the reduction of training overhead in IRS with a partial ON/OFF model and an optimizing strategy for pilot design approach.

To study the intelligent and efficient stock portfolio in China's financial market, based on the relevant theories such as deep learning (DL) neural network (NN) and stock portfolio, this study selects 111 stable stocks from the constituent stocks of the China Security Index (CSI) 300 from January 1, 2018, to December 31, 2021, as the research samples. Then, it analyzes these research samples and imports the relevant data of 111 stocks into the DL NN model. The corresponding prediction results of stock prices are obtained.

Background: Pathological classification of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) is problematic as it relies on subjective criteria. We developed an imaging method that uses spectroscopy to assess the fluorescent intensity of cervical biopsies derived directly from hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) stained tissues.
Methods: Archived H&E slides were identified containing normal cervical tissue, CIN I, and CIN III cases, from a Community Hospital and an Academic Medical Center.
