Gestational Diabetes Mellitus (GDM) is the most frequent complication during pregnancy. Pharmacological interventions, such as peptide drugs that focused on improving the insulin sensitivity might be promising in the prevention and treatment of GDM. In this study, we aimed to investigate the role and mechanism of a novel peptide, named AGDMP1 (Anti-GDM peptide 1), which we previously identified lower in the serum of GDM patients using mass spectrometry, on the adipose insulin resistance in GDM.

Osteosarcoma, a malignant bone tumor that occurs in adolescents, proliferates and is prone to pulmonary metastasis. Osteosarcoma is characterized by high genotypic heterogeneity, making it difficult to identify reliable anti-osteosarcoma targets. The genotype of osteosarcoma may be highly dynamic, but its high dependence on energy remains constant.

Aim: To study the effect and elucidate the underlying mechanisms of VDAC1-ΔC on autophagy in renal tubular epithelial cells injured by hypoxia/reoxygenation.
Methods: C57/BL6 mice were randomly divided into groups: sham operation group, IRI 1d group and IRI 2d group. The inner canthal blood of mice was collected to detect the levels of serum creatinine and urea nitrogen and kidney tissues were sampled, and sections were stained with Periodic acid-Schiff for morphological evaluation.

Background: Current treatment strategies for hormone-dependent breast cancers, including adjuvant endocrine therapy, often fail due to persistence of breast cancer stem cells (brCSCs), which are significant contributors to tumor recurrence and treatment resistance. Therefore, gaining deeper insights into the molecular regulators driving breast cancer aggressiveness is important. Moreover, given the complexities and expenses involved in developing new pharmacological agents, the strategic repurposing of existing FDA-approved drugs to target these key molecular pathways presents a compelling approach for identifying novel therapeutic interventions aimed at mitigating tumor refractoriness.

Unlabelled: Cell wall-anchored surface proteins of Gram-positive bacteria, harboring a highly conserved YSIRK/G-S signal peptide (SP), are deposited at cell division septum and anchored to septal peptidoglycan. The mechanisms supporting YSIRK protein septal trafficking remain elusive. Previously, we identified that LtaS-mediated lipoteichoic acid (LTA) synthesis restricts septal trafficking of YSIRK+ proteins in .
