We apply spatially and spectrally resolved interferometry to measure the complex ratio between the field circulating inside a high-finesse femtosecond enhancement cavity and the seeding field. Our simple and highly sensitive method enables the measurement of single-round-trip group delay dispersion of a fully loaded cavity at resonance for the first time. Group delay dispersion can be determined with a reproducibility better than 1 fs2 allowing the investigation of nonlinear processes triggered by the high intracavity power. The required data acquisition time is less than 1 s.

Background: Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is a highly aggressive cancer with limited treatment options and a poor prognosis. The critical role of epigenetic alterations such as changes in DNA methylation, histones modifications, and chromatin remodeling, in pancreatic tumors progression is becoming increasingly recognized. Moreover, in PDAC these aberrant epigenetic mechanisms can also limit therapy efficacy.

Background: Bok is a poorly characterized Bcl-2 protein family member with roles yet to be clearly defined. It is clear, however, that Bok binds strongly to inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate (IP) receptors (IPRs), which govern the mobilization of Ca from the endoplasmic reticulum, a signaling pathway required for many cellular processes. Also known is that Bok has a highly conserved phosphorylation site for cAMP-dependent protein kinase at serine-8 (Ser-8).

Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) is the most prevalent, treatment-resistant, and fatal form of brain malignancy. It is characterized by genetic heterogeneity, and an infiltrative nature, and GBM treatment is highly challenging. Despite multimodal therapies, clinicians lack efficient prognostic and predictive markers.

Objective: Although FibroScan (FS), based on Vibration-Controlled Transient Elastography (VCTE), is a widely used non-invasive device for assessing liver fibrosis and steatosis, its current standard-VCTE examination remains timely and difficult on patients with obesity. The Guided-VCTE examination uses continuous shear waves to locate the liver by providing a real-time predictive indicator for shear wave propagation and uses shear wave maps averaging to increase the signal-to-noise ratio in difficult to assess patients. We aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of the new indicator, as well as compare examination times and success rates with both standard-VCTE and Guided-VCTE examinations.

Pursuing nanomaterials with high fluorescence quantum yields is of great significance in the fields of bioimaging, medical diagnosis, and food safety monitoring. This work reports on orange-emitting aggregation-induced emission (AIE) copper nanoclusters (Cu NCs) integrated with blue-emitting nitrogen-doped carbon dots (N-CDs), which enables highly sensitive detection of S and Zn ions through an off-on ratiometric fluorescence method. The highly emissive Cu NCs was doped by Ce with a high quantum yield of 51.
