Unlabelled: Since the inception of transplantation, it has been crucial to ensure that organ or tissue donations are made with valid informed consent to avoid concerns about coercion or exploitation. This issue is particularly challenging when it comes to infants and younger children, insofar as they are unable to provide consent. Despite their vulnerability, infants' organs and tissues are considered valuable for biomedical purposes due to their size and unique properties.

Despite the compounded adversities that displaced youth must navigate throughout their forced migration, they consistently exhibit steadfastness in caring for themselves and their families. Extant scholarship, however, often frames these individuals as needy and inept at informing the models of mental health care they are offered. In this study, we use semistructured interviews to learn from the experiences of Afghan refugee youth (N = 34; M age = 19; range 18-24) who were resettled in the United States after the United States withdrawal from Afghanistan in August of 2021 and explore their insights that can inform decolonial and equitable mental health services.

Background: Mild cognitive impairment (MCI) is prevalent in older adults with chronic pain, making early detection crucial for dementia prevention and healthy aging. This study aimed to determine MCI risk factors in older patients with chronic pain and to develop 9 machine learning models to identify MCI risk.
Methods: A total of 612 older patients with chronic pain were recruited between October 2023 and July 2024.

Background: Lymphatic metastasis commonly occurs in patients with papillary thyroid carcinoma and medullary thyroid carcinoma. The clinical and imaging characteristics of recurrent laryngeal nerve (RLN) invasion by extranodal extension (ENE) of metastatic lymph nodes remain understudied. This study aimed to evaluate these characteristics in patients with thyroid carcinoma.

The optical modulation of ferroelectric polarization constitutes a transformative, non-contact strategy for the precise manipulation of ferroelectric properties, heralding advancements in optically stimulated ferroelectric devices. Despite its potential, progress in this domain is constrained by material limitations and the intricate nature of the underlying mechanisms. Recent studies have achieved efficient regulation of ferroelectric polarization and thermal conductivity in chiral ferroelectric thin films through the application of left- and right-handed circularly polarized light (LCP and RCP).
