Objective: One of the most severe endocrine side effects of immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI) is hypophysitis leading to adrenal insufficiency. Recovery is rare, although it has been reported after high-dose glucocorticoid treatment. This is the first randomised study to evaluate whether hormonal recovery differs in patients treated with high-dose glucocorticoids versus glucocorticoid replacement therapy.

Frailty and severe aortic stenosis (AoS) are critical conditions in older adults, both of which share pathophysiological mechanisms including chronic inflammation and calcium metabolism dysregulation, potentially influencing the development and progression of these conditions. This study aimed to analyze systemic inflammation and calcium homeostasis biomarkers and their associations with frailty in older adults with severe AoS. : This prospective study included 191 patients aged ≥75 years with severe AoS who were candidates for aortic valve replacement and were evaluated at a Geriatrics Frailty Assessment and Intervention Clinic.

The approaches to correct thyroid deficiency include replacement therapy with thyroid hormones (THs), but such therapy causes a number of side effects. A possible alternative is thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) receptor activators, including allosteric agonists. The aim of this work was to study the effect of ethyl-2-(4-(4-(5-amino-6-(-butylcarbamoyl)-2-(methylthio)thieno[2,3-d]pyrimidin-4-yl)phenyl)--1,2,3-triazol-1-yl) acetate (TPY3m), a TSH receptor allosteric agonist developed by us, on basal and thyroliberin (TRH)-stimulated TH levels and the hypothalamic-pituitary-thyroid (HPT) axis in male rats with high-fat diet/low-dose streptozotocin-induced type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).

: Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) have revolutionized cancer therapy, but their use is associated with a spectrum of immune-related adverse events (irAEs), including endocrine disorders. This study aims to investigate the incidence, timing, treatment modalities, and impact of ICI-related endocrine side effects in cancer patients. : This retrospective study analyzed 139 cancer patients treated with ICIs between 2016 and 2022.

Objectives: Temporomandibular joint osteoarthritis (TMJ-OA) with condylar resorption is a multifactorial condition involving hormonal imbalance and articular disk dysfunction, often leading to severe TMJ degeneration. This study investigated the combined effects of estrogen deficiency and anterior articular disk derangement (ADD) on condylar bone resorption in a mouse model.
Methods: Female C57BL/6J mice underwent ovariectomy (OVX) to induce estrogen deficiency and ADD was surgically induced for stress.
