Objective: Many patients with ruptured intracranial aneurysms (RIAs) underrepresented or excluded from previous randomized controlled trials (RCTs) comparing surgery with endovascular treatment (EVT) are still considered for surgical clipping, but the best management of these patients remains unknown.
Methods: The International Subarachnoid Aneurysm Trial-2 was a randomized trial comparing surgical versus EVT of RIAs considered for surgical clipping, despite the results of previous RCTs, and also eligible for EVT. The primary endpoint was death or dependency according to the modified Rankin Scale score (mRS score > 2) at 1 year.

Aims: To test utility of diffusion MRI-derived indices in carotid endarterectomy (CEA), change of diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) metrics, cerebral white matter (WM) volumes were evaluated and predictors of overall mortality determined.
Methods: Prospectively enrolled participants had preoperative, immediate and late postoperative DTI after CEA. WM volumes, DTI metrics (fractional anisotropy, FA; axial, radial, mean diffusivities; AD, RD, MD, respectively) were calculated for the index/contralateral hemispheres at all time points.

It is characterized by at least two of the following features: a facial capillary malformation, leptomeningeal vascular malformation, and ocular involvement. The spectrum of clinical manifestations includes headache, seizures, stroke-like events, intellectual disability, glaucoma, facial asymmetry, gingival hyperplasia, etc.
