This paper applies a contemporary, 'two-track'- transformational as well as archaeological - perspective on psychoanalytic process to clinical issues in the creation of analytic patients: case finding, recommending analysis, and recommending and negotiating the intensification of frequency of sessions in analytic psychotherapy. Central importance is assigned to the role of the mind and analytic identity of the analyst, including the analyst's capacity to maintain an internal analytic frame and analyzing attitude from the very first contact with the patient and throughout the treatment, the analyst's confidence in and conviction about the usefulness of analysis for a given analytic dyad and the role of the analyst's theory, which must be broad and consistent enough to allow the analyst to feel that he or she is operating analytically when addressing non-neurotic (unrepresented and weakly represented mental states) as well as neurotic structures.

Objective: No clinical standard exists for intraoperative fetal cardiac monitoring during maternal-fetal surgery for fetal myelomeningocele (fMMC). This pilot study explores the feasibility of using speckle tracking echocardiography (STE)-derived functional measurements to characterize cardiac performance throughout fetoscopic fMMC and compares these measures with other common intraoperative cardiac function parameters.
Methods: Continuous fetal echocardiography was performed during fetoscopic fMMC repair with fetal heart rate assessment every 2 minutes and a 4-chamber cine clip and mitral and tricuspid Doppler inflow patterns captured every 5 minutes.

Heart failure (HF) occurs when the heart fails to meet the body's demands. Differentiating and managing HF with Preserved Ejection Fraction (HFpEF) versus Reduced Ejection Fraction (HFrEF) remains challenging, as therapeutic strategies for HFpEF have largely been ineffective. Exercise intolerance is a hallmark of HFpEF, making the identification of biological pathways underlying exercise-related impairments particularly important.

In France, the practice of laboratory medicine has, over the past ten years or so, met with a certain amount of disenchantment from medical students. Despite its intricacy and importance to healthcare, the world of the clinical laboratory lacks visibility in medical studies. While other phenomena can explain this disenchantment, our belief in the importance of promoting greater visibility of laboratory medicine in medical studies led us to examine for this article the images and symbols associated with the profession, based on a semiotic analysis.

Background: The high prevalence of chronic diseases in the elderly, especially type 2 diabetes, poses a major challenge to the global health system. In China, elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mainly rely on family and community for long-term management. In view of the importance of health behavior change in improving the health of patients with chronic diseases, the multi-theory model (MTM), as the fourth generation of theoretical model in the field of health behavior change, provides a new perspective for promoting patients' behavior change in chronic disease management and has been widely used in many health fields.

Objectives: This study aimed to explore factors influencing satisfaction with medical services among medically underserved populations at the free medical clinic, providing data to improve free medical services for these populations.
Methods: We employed a descriptive correlational study design involving 112 individuals (aged 19 years and older) from medically underserved populations who visited the clinic. Data were collected through face-to-face surveys from September to October 2023, and statistical analyses (t-tests, analysis of variance, Pearson correlation, and hierarchical multiple regression) were used to identify key predictors of satisfaction.
