Cell fate decisions during cortical development sculpt the identity of long-range connections that subserve complex behaviors. These decisions are largely dictated by mutually exclusive transcription factors, including CTIP2/Bcl11b for subcerebral projection neurons and BRN1/Pou3f3 for intra-telencephalic projection neurons. We have recently reported that the balance of cortical CTIP2-expressing neurons is altered in a mouse model of DDX3X syndrome, a female-biased neurodevelopmental disorder associated with intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorder, and significant motor challenges.

Background: Lower instrumented vertebra (LIV) selection for adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS) with structural lumbar curves (Lenke 3, 5, and 6) remains debated. The iliolumbar angle (ILA) measurement is useful for assessing the lumbosacral junction flexibility. If it is nonreducible, surgeons need to make a difficult choice between a potential "imperfect" L4, associated with a residual lumbosacral curve, or a more distal fusion performed later in life due to poorer functional outcomes.

Objective: This observational study investigated the relationship between occlusal balance and the tightness of restorative-contralateral occlusal contact in patients undergoing dental implant restorations.

Methods: A total of 100 patients who received dental implant restorations at our hospital between July 2022 and July 2023 were included. Patients were divided into two groups based on occlusal closeness: an observation group (using 12 μm occlusal paper for occlusion) and a control group (using 20 μm occlusal paper for occlusion).

Nepal's economy is primarily dependent on agriculture, which generates a significant amount of GDP and jobs, particularly in rural areas. Despite its importance, the business still faces challenges from low productivity, traditional methods, inadequate access to advanced technologies, and increasing climate change sensitivity. These problems prevent agriculture from realizing its full potential to advance economic development, reduce poverty, and provide food security.

A bioeconomic analysis using the Gordon-Schafer surplus production model was conducted on Indian mackerel (), Yellowfin tuna (), Kingfish (), and Indian Oil Sardine () based on data from the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Wealth, and Water Resources of Oman from 1990 to 2020. The alignment of biological and economic yields with the ideal fishing efforts needed to attain maximum sustainable yield (MSY) and maximum economic yield (MEY) was considered in order to evaluate the economic efficiency of existing fisheries management. The long-term sustainability of Oman's fisheries is improved by this analysis, which identifies inefficiencies in resource use and suggests viable remedies.
