Spatial disorientation is an early symptom of Alzheimer's disease (AD). Detecting this impairment effectively in animal models can provide valuable insights into the disease and reduce experimental burdens. We have developed a markerless motion analysis system (MMAS) using deep learning techniques for the Morris water maze test.

Automatic detection of behaviors and locations has been increasingly needed in the management of noncage systems where hen behaviors are highly diverse and active. Here we show a technology to spatiotemporally understand behaviors using a wearable inertial sensor, containing a 3-axis accelerometer and 3-axis angular velocity sensor (i.e.

Institutes of Physical Science and Information Technology, Anhui University, Hefei, Anhui, P.R. China.

Objectives: Despite some existing studies on the safety of high static magnetic fields (SMFs), the effects of ultra-high SMFs above 20.0 T for embryonic development in early pregnancy are absent. The objective of this study is to evaluate the influence of 16.

The aim of the current study was to investigate the influence of both intra- and interspecific audiences on dogs' facial expressions and behaviours. Forty-six dogs were exposed to three test conditions in which a food reward, initially available, was denied when in the presence of either a human (Human condition) or a dog audience (Dog condition), or in the absence of a visible audience (Non-social condition). Salivary cortisol was collected to evaluate the stress/arousal activation in the different conditions.

This study aimed to assess the impact of dexmedetomidine constant rate infusion (CRI) on key parameters in dogs. Six dogs received a 60 µg/kg/h dexmedetomidine infusion over 10 min, followed by three 15 min decremental CRIs (3, 2, and 1 µg/kg/h). A subsequent reversal phase employed 600 µg/kg/h atipamezole over 5 min.
