This article presents a simple deroofing technique to retrieve a broken endodontic file lodged in the mandibular canal and causing dysesthesia with pain. Many unsuccessful attempts were made to retrieve the broken instrument. The deroofing technique described is simple, requiring local anesthesia and done on an outpatient basis with minimum morbidity. A brief review of the literature on dysesthesia of the inferior alveolar nerve caused by endodontic materials is also presented.

Objective: To compare the clinical outcomes of ultrasonography-guided aspiration and sclerotherapy and laparoscopic deroofing for the treatment of simple renal cysts in children, providing evidence for clinical decision-making in the management of pediatric renal cysts.
Methods: A total of 49 patients with simple renal cysts were divided into two groups based on the treatment method: 29 patients (group 1) underwent laparoscopic deroofing, 20 patients (group 2) underwent ultrasonography-guided aspiration and sclerotherapy. The clinical efficacy differences between the two groups were compared.

Background: Deroofing and local excision are common clinic-based surgical options for hidradenitis suppurativa. Evidence suggests deroofing may have lower rates of adverse events (AEs), defined as disease recurrence or postsurgical complications.
Objective: This cost-utility analysis evaluates the economic and health-related impacts of clinic-based deroofing vs excision for hidradenitis suppurativa, comparing direct medical costs and quality-adjusted life-years (QALYs).

Procedural treatments for hidradenitis suppurativa play a pivotal role in management of patients with hidradenitis suppurativa when used in combination with medical therapy. Laser, light, and surgical procedures can be used to improve a patient's symptoms and quality of life. Understanding how and when to use these treatments effectively is important for long-term hidradenitis suppurativa management.

Introduction: The traditional endodontic cavity (TEC) facilitates canal preparation, but may increase susceptibility to root fracture; conservative endodontic cavities (CEC) aim to preserve tooth structure to maintain the structural integrity of root-filled teeth. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of access cavity design and the degree of pulp chamber root removal on the microstrain distribution patterns under different levels of functional loading using digital moiré interferometry.
Methods: Twelve extracted human teeth (n = 12) were included, comprising of mandibular premolars (n = 6) and mandibular first molars (n = 6).
