Purpose: To determine the effect of the presence of endometriosis on the delivered pregnancy rate following in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer.
Methods: A retrospective cohort analysis of fresh or frozen embryo transfer in women with diminished egg reserve having IVF-ET and who also had had a laparoscopy. The data was analyzed as to whether endometriosis was present or not.
Results: The data demonstrated that women with diminished egg reserve can achieve pregnancies following IVF-ET. The presence of endometriosis did not have any negative effects on pregnancy rates.
Conclusions: At least in women with diminished egg reserve the presence of endometriosis did not impair outcome following IVF-ET.

The Kokanee salmon population in Kluane National Park and Reserve (Yukon Territory) declined significantly between 2002 and 2012. Elevated levels of selenium (Se), which can affect fish reproduction, were recently measured in waters used by spawning Kokanee. To investigate whether Se may be contributing to long-term population declines, and in the absence of long-term data on aqueous Se concentrations, Se concentrations in sagittal otoliths - fish ear-bones that chronicle lifetime exposure - were measured and compared in Kokanee sampled in 1981 (a year with many spawners) and 2019-2021.

It has been debated whether endometriosis (EMS) adversely affects oocyte quality, potentially leading to a higher incidence of genetically unbalanced embryos or other egg factors that affect the developmental potential. In this study, we explored the effects of endometriosis on risk of chromosomally aberrant in miscarried products of conception (POC) after assisted reproductive treatment (ART), including fresh and frozen cycles. Miscarried POCs were collected from EMS patients (N = 102) and non-EMS patients (N = 441).

The judicious selection of ovulation inhibitors in ovarian stimulation protocols is crucial for the success of assisted reproductive technology (ART). Herein, we investigate the dose-dependent effects of chlormadinone acetate (CMA) and cetrorelix, two distinct ovulation inhibitors, on oocyte maturation in patients with normal ovarian reserve, using univariable and multivariable Poisson regression analyses. Patients undergoing progestin-primed ovarian stimulation (PPOS) with CMA (n = 299) or gonadotropin-releasing hormone antagonist (GnRH-ant) with cetrorelix (n = 605) during their initial in vitro fertilization cycle were enrolled at our center from March 2018 to October 2020 (N = 904).

Background: To investigate the impact of Melatonin on follicular oxidative stress and assisted reproductive technology (ART) outcomes in women with diminished ovarian reserve (DOR).
Method: We put 68 women with DOR who were going through ART into a randomized controlled trial. Starting on the fifth day of their menstrual cycle, we gave them either 3 mg of Melatonin or a placebo every day before stimulating their ovaries.

Purpose: To develop a predictive model for estimating the total dose of gonadotropins and the number mature oocytes in planned oocyte cryopreservation cycles.
Methods: In this retrospective study, oocyte cryopreservation cycles recorded in the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology Clinic Outcome Reporting System Database from 2013 to 2018 were analyzed. Bivariate copula additive models for location, scale, and shape were performed to create a predictive model for estimating total dose of gonadotropins and number of mature oocytes.
