The paper presents a study of Faraday rotation (FR) angle and Cotton–Mouton (CM) phase shift measurements to determine their mutual interaction and the validity of the linear models presently used in equilibrium codes. Comparison between time traces of measurements and model calculations leads to the result that only an exact numerical solution of Stokes equations can reproduce in all the experimental data. As a consequence, approximated linear models can be applied only in a limited range of plasma parameters. In general, the nonlinear coupling between FR and CM is important for the evaluation of polarimetry parameters.

This study investigates how lower-level English language learners achieve and maintain intersubjectivity and navigate through co-constructed framings during context-embedded tasks such as improvised role-play. In language education settings, activities associated with interactions often reflect multi-layered participant orientations beyond mere linguistic execution. From the perspectives of ethnomethodology and conversation analysis, linguistic actions are effective only when they are intersubjectively understood: the complexity of an activity necessitates corresponding levels of intersubjectivity for smooth progression.

The structures of metalloproteins are essential for comprehending their functions and interactions. The breakthrough of AlphaFold has made it possible to predict protein structures with experimental accuracy. However, the type of metal ion that a metalloprotein binds and the binding structure are still not readily available, even with the predicted protein structure.

The coupling between excitons in semiconductors or molecules and metal nanoparticles has been well-studied, primarily for nanoparticles in their ground electronic state. However, less attention has been given to exciton-nanoparticle interactions when the nanoparticle generates surface plasmons upon incident excitation. In this study, we explore the coupling and energy transfer dynamics between an exciton and the surface plasmon of a metal nanoparticle, forming a "plexciton".

Succinate is a pivotal tricarboxylic acid cycle metabolite but also specifically activates the G- and G-coupled succinate receptor 1 (SUCNR1). Contradictory roles of succinate and succinate-SUCNR1 signaling include reports about its anti- or pro-inflammatory effects. The link between cellular metabolism and localization-dependent SUCNR1 signaling qualifies as a potential cause for the reported conflicts.
