Body painting in the medical education context is the painting of internal structures on the surface of the body with high verisimilitude. Body painting has many educational benefits, from the obvious acquisition of anatomical knowledge, to the less obvious benefits of improved communication skills and greater body awareness. As with any activity, which involves physical examination and undressing, sensitive delivery is imperative. The 12 tips given in this article offer advice on the practicalities of running a successful body painting session in a supportive environment, thus promoting maximum student participation.

The fine-grained functional organization of the human lateral prefrontal cortex (PFC) remains poorly understood. Previous fMRI studies delineated focal domain-general, or multiple-demand (MD), PFC areas that co-activate during diverse cognitively demanding tasks. While there is some evidence for category-selective (face and scene) patches, in human and non-human primate PFC, these have not been systematically assessed.

Objective: HAPpEN aims to implement and evaluate a holistic general practitioner-centered, interdisciplinary obesity management strategy in rural Germany, focusing on feasibility, health outcomes, and economic benefits.
Methods: HAPpEN is a 12-month, pragmatic single-arm, multicenter trial, informed by a formative survey, and initiated in April 2023 with 98 obese participants (body mass index, BMI ≥ 30 kg/m) in Kulmbach, Germany. The program integrates nutritional counseling, physical activity, and behavior change techniques, including smartphone-based self-monitoring.

This review focuses on our current understanding of how growth hormone releasing hormone (GHRH): 1) stimulates GH release and synthesis from pituitary growth hormone (GH)-producing cells (somatotropes), 2) drives somatotrope proliferation, 3) is negatively regulated by somatostatin (SST), GH and IGF1, 4) is altered throughout lifespan and in response to metabolic challenges, and 5) analogues can be used clinically to treat conditions of GH excess or deficiency. Although a large body of early work provides an underpinning for our current understanding of GHRH, this review specifically highlights more recent work that was made possible by state-of-the-art analytical tools, receptor-specific agonists and antagonists, high-resolution in vivo and ex vivo imaging and the development of tissue (cell) -specific ablation mouse models, to paint a more detailed picture of the regulation and actions of GHRH.

The article compares the properties of coatings (cataphoretic, hot-dip zinc, and thermo-diffusion zinc) applied to steel components used in the automotive industry. The research focused on the analysis of corrosion resistance, hardness measurements, and tribological properties conducted on steel guides used in trailer and truck body structures as well as fasteners (M12 × 40 bolts). The base surfaces were cleaned chemically.
