The data of the study on Ca2+ sensitivity of ATPase activity of myosin from vertebrate striated muscles in the presence of actin and the conditions of its manifestation and disappearance are presented. The role of Ca2+ sensitivity of actin-activated myosin ATPase in the regulation of contraction of vertebrate striated muscles is discussed.

Background: Parasites in the apicomplexan genus Sarcocystis infect cattle worldwide. Assessing the economic importance of each such parasite species requires proper diagnosis. Sarcocystis cruzi, a thin-walled species, infects virtually all cattle.

Background: Pompe disease is a glycogen storage disease primarily affecting striated muscles. Despite its main manifestation in muscles, patients with Pompe disease may exhibit non-muscle symptoms, such as hearing loss, suggesting potential involvement of sensory organs or the nervous system due to glycogen accumulation.
Aims: This study aimed to evaluate the presence of concomitant small and large fiber neuropathy in patients with Pompe disease.

Objective: Improving the way to establish the species belonging of muscle tissue fragments and particles using the quantitative solid-phase enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay method.
Material And Methods: We studied human muscle tissue fragments and particles (sampled 2-4 weeks before) and also dried extracts from the blood of certain animals, such as dogs, birds, pigs, and cats. The samples were studied using quantitative enzyme immunoassay with the domestic kit «IgG-total-ELISA-HEMA».

The giant striated muscle protein titin integrates into the developing sarcomere to form a stable myofilament system that is extended as myocytes fuse. The logistics underlying myofilament assembly and disassembly have started to emerge with the possibility to follow labeled sarcomere components. Here, we generated the mCherry knock-in at titin's Z-disk to study skeletal muscle development and remodeling.

γ-Aminobutyric acid (GABA) has a significant impact on the functioning of not only the central but also the peripheral part of the nervous system. Recently, various elements of the GABAergic signaling system have been discovered in the area of the neuromuscular junction of mammals. At the same time, the functional activity of membrane-bound GABA transporters (GATs) and their role in neuromuscular transmission have not been identified.
