Severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome (SFTS) is an acute febrile illness caused by the SFTS virus (SFTSV). We conducted this study to propose a scientific evidence-based treatment that can improve prognosis through changes in viral load and inflammatory cytokines according to the specific treatment of SFTS patients. This prospective and observational study was conducted at 14 tertiary referral hospitals, which are located in SFTS endemic areas in Korea, from 1 May 2018 to 31 October 2020.

Protracted return to sport (RTS) following COVID-19 is common due to long-term cardiopulmonary symptoms and persistent fatigue. In athletes, low exercise tolerance may result in emotional distress. The aim of this study is to assess the symptom severity, the management thereof and the impact on quality of life (QOL) as endurance athletes return to their preillness level of sports participation.

Currently, there is inadequate evidence on the effects of combined rehabilitation and nutritional therapy for patients with multimorbidity. Therefore, in this report, we describe a case of combined rehabilitation and nutritional therapies with favorable outcomes in a patient with duplicated musculoskeletal and cerebrovascular diseases. An 80-year-old female patient was admitted to a convalescent rehabilitation ward after undergoing left total knee arthroplasty.

Patients experiencing severe hemiplegia following a stroke struggle to rehabilitate their affected limbs. Cross-education (CE) training emerges as a promising rehabilitation method due to its safety, simplicity, low risk, and ability to effectively improve muscle strength in the affected limb. However, controversy surrounds the neural mechanisms and clinical applications of CE.
