Objective: To assist residents in selecting the correct Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) code for evaluation and management (E/M) services thru the addition of disappearing help text into a standardized note template.

Methods: We created a disappearing text block that summarizes E/M requirements and embedded it into the note template used by residents at a pediatric urgent care clinic. An intervention cohort composed of post graduate year 1 (PGY 1) residents was instructed to use this note template, while senior residents (PGY 2-3) were instructed to use an identical template that lacked the help text.

Background: Increased awareness of the factors contributing to the diagnostic disparities seen in bipolar disorder between individuals of different heritage is needed to achieve equity in diagnosis and treatment. One such inequity is the provision of earlier treatment. Earlier treatment of patients diagnosed with bipolar disorder may prolong time to recurrence of mood episodes and reduce functional impairment and other poor outcomes associated with disease progression.

The emergence of the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-approved amyloid-targeting therapies for Alzheimer's disease challenges clinicians and healthcare providers with a transformative landscape. Effectively communicating the risks, benefits, burdens, costs, and available support associated with these novel disease-modifying treatments to patients, families, and other healthcare providers is essential but complex. In response, the Alzheimer's Association's Clinical Meaningfulness Workgroup has proposed language surrounding treatment eligibility, benefits, amyloid-related imaging abnormalities (ARIA), apolipoprotein E (APOE) genotyping, and treatment costs, serving as a resource to healthcare professionals in navigating discussions with patients and their families.
