Background: Colorectal cancer (CRC) has high incidence and mortality rates, with severe prognoses during invasion and metastasis stages. Despite advancements in diagnostic and therapeutic technologies, the impact of the tumour microenvironment, particularly extracellular matrix (ECM) stiffness, on CRC progression and metastasis is not fully understood.
Methods: This study included 107 CRC patients.

Objectives: This study evaluated the adequacy of using blood cultures alone for antibiotic therapy in mild-to-moderate acute cholangitis after adequate biliary drainage.
Methods: A prospective, multi-centre, non-inferiority, randomised trial was conducted from August 2015 to September 2023 across 12 tertiary hospitals in South Korea. Patients were randomly assigned 1:1 to groups.
Due to its simplicity, low cost, safety, and high precision, the fiber displacement interferometer has emerged as a highly promising and feasible method for measuring shock-induced vibrations. However, the harsh environments associated with such shocks pose significant challenges, including the need for resistance to fluctuations in light intensity, immunity to disturbances in the transmission fiber, and the capacity to conduct large-range, high-speed bidirectional measurements. To our knowledge, no existing methods adequately address all these requirements.

Unlabelled: Various studies predict large migration flows due to climatic and other environmental changes, yet the ex post empirical evidence for such migration is inconclusive. To examine the causal link between environmental changes and migration for a population residing along the Jamuna River in Bangladesh, an area heavily affected by floods and riverbank erosion, I relate the respondents' self-reported affectedness by environmental changes, their migration aspirations, and their capability to move to their migration likelihood. The analysis relies on a unique quasi-experimental research design based on original survey panel data of 1604 household heads.
