Insight into copper-oxygen species proposed as intermediates in oxidation catalysis is provided by the identification of a Cu(II)-superoxide complex supported by a sterically hindered, pyridinedicarboxamide ligand. A tetragonal, end-on superoxide structure is proposed based on DFT calculations and UV-vis, NMR, EPR, and resonance Raman spectroscopy. The complex yields a trans-1,2-peroxodicopper(II) species upon reaction with [(tmpa)Cu(CH(3)CN)]OTf and, unlike other known Cu(II)-superoxide complexes, acts as a base rather than an electrophilic (H-atom abstracting) reagent in reactions with phenols.

Monoanionic and neutral nickel(II) and platinum(II) bis(dithiolene) complexes based on the 5,6-diethyl-5,6-dihydro-1,4-dithiin-2,3-dithiolate (de-dddt) chiral ligand have been prepared in racemic and enantiopure forms. Neutral closed-shell species have been generated from monoanionic precursors upon electrocrystallization. The racemic anionic (TBA)[Ni(,-de-dddt)(,-de-dddt)] complex crystallized in the centrosymmetric space group 2/, while the neutral complexes crystallized in the enantiomorphic tetragonal space group 422 or 422.

This study investigated the effect of various storage media on the physicochemical properties of plasma-treated 3-mol% yttria-stabilized tetragonal zirconia: air, vacuum, deionized water (DIW), and plasma-activated water (PAW). Each group was divided into five subgroups based on storage periods: immediately after NTP irradiation (T0), and after 1 week (T1), 2 weeks (T2), 3 weeks (T3), and 4 weeks (T4). The control group (C) received no treatment.

Mixed-cation mixed-halide lead perovskites have been shown to be excellent candidates for solar energy conversion. However, understanding the structural phases of these mixed-ion perovskites across a wide range of operating temperatures, including very low temperatures for space applications, is crucial. In this study, we investigated the structure of formamidinium-based Cs FA Pb(Br I ) using low-temperature in situ synchrotron powder X-ray diffraction.

Semilocal and random phase approximation (RPA) density functional theory (DFT) and complete active space (CASSCF + NEVPT2) methodologies were applied to investigate a new class of extended metal atom chain (EMAC) complexes. A novel triferrous complex has been synthesized recently that does not utilize the usual 2,2'-dipyridylamine (dpa) ligand framework, which essentially always results in a tetragonal coordination environment and general formula M(dpa)X, where X is an anion. Instead, the triferrous complex utilizes a dianionic, 2,6-bis(trimethylsilylamido)pyridine ligand (L) resulting in the formation of trigonal complexes with general formula .

The title compound, [Ru(CHNO)(CHN)]PF crystallizes in the tetra-gonal Sohnke space group 422. The two bidentate chiral salicyloxazoline ligands and the phenanthroline co-ligand coordinate to the central Ru atom through N,O and N,N atom pairs to form bite angles of 89.76 (15) and 79.
