Background: Frequent anti-vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGF-A) injections reduce the risk of rapid and severe vision loss in patients with neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD); however, due to undertreatment, many patients lose vision over time. New treatments that provide sustained suppression of VEGF-A are needed. RGX-314 (currently known as ABBV-RGX-314) is an adeno-associated virus serotype 8 vector that expresses an anti-VEGF-A antigen-binding fragment, which provides potential for continuous VEGF-A suppression after a single subretinal injection.

Purpose: To compare SF 6 relative with C 2 F 6 in the anatomical and functional outcomes following pars plana vitrectomy for uncomplicated primary pseudophakic rhegmatogenous retinal detachment with inferior causative breaks.

Methods: This is a retrospective, comparative study on eyes with pseudophakic rhegmatogenous retinal detachment with inferior causative breaks that had small-gauge pars plana vitrectomy repair using SF 6 and C 2 F 6 tamponade between 2011 and 2020 at a tertiary centre in the United Kingdom. Primary outcome was single surgery anatomical success, and the secondary outcome was best-corrected visual acuity.

A female patient in her 60s presented with an 8-month history of decreased vision in her right eye. She was diagnosed with pseudophakic bullous keratopathy (PBK), and Descemet stripping automated endothelial keratoplasty (DSAEK) surgery was planned. Purpose: The aim of this study was to compare visual function, with a focus on contrast sensitivity, between patients with Fuchs endothelial corneal dystrophy (FECD) with and without subclinical corneal edema.

Methods: In this cross-sectional, observational, single-center study, 46 pseudophakic eyes of 31 patients with FECD were divided into 2 groups depending on the presence of subclinical corneal edema. All eyes presented with a Krachmer grade of 5 and no clinical corneal edema.
