This article has been retracted: please see Elsevier Policy on Article Withdrawal (http://www.elsevier.com/locate/withdrawalpolicy). This article has been retracted at the request of the editors. This article was published on October 19, 2010, and Figures 4A and 7A were later corrected on August 8, 2016. In January 2021, The Ohio State University notified the Cancer Cell editors that an internal investigation concluded that Figures 1E, 4A, 4D, 5A, and 7A were falsified and that part of Figure 1E of the article is the same as part of Figure 1F in the correction of another article (Pichiorri et al., 2017, J. Exp. Med., 214, 1557, https://doi.org/10.1084/jem.2012095001172017c) and recommended retraction of the article. The editors no longer have confidence in the validity of the data and are retracting the article. S.-S. S. agrees with the retraction, and F.P., C.H., A.P., and C.M.C. disagree with the retraction; all other authors couldn't be reached or didn't respond.

Background: Evans syndrome is a rare disorder characterized by the simultaneous or sequential combination of autoimmune hemolytic anemia and immunological thrombocytopenia, together with a positive direct antiglobulin test. This syndrome, which can be primary or secondary, is a rare initial manifestation of autoimmune diseases, notably systemic lupus erythematosus, with 1.7-2.

Background: Complex perianal fistulas, challenging to treat and prone to recurrence, often require surgical intervention that may cause fecal incontinence and lower quality of life due to large surgical wounds and potential sphincter damage. Human umbilical cord-derived MSCs (hUC-MSCs) and their exosomes (hUCMSCs-Exo) may promote wound healing.
Methods: This study assessed the efficacy, mechanisms, and safety of these exosomes in treating complex perianal fistulas in SD rats.

Abscisic acid (ABA) is a crucial phytohormone that regulates plant growth and stress responses. While substantial knowledge exists about transcriptional regulation, the molecular mechanisms underlying ABA-triggered translational regulation remain unclear. Recent advances in deep sequencing of ribosome footprints (Ribo-seq) enable the mapping and quantification of mRNA translation efficiency.

Perivascular adipose tissue (PVAT) is a dynamic tissue that affects vascular function and cardiovascular health. The connection between PVAT, the immune system, obesity, and vascular disease is complex and plays a pivotal role in the pathogenesis of vascular diseases such as atherosclerosis, hypertension, and vascular inflammation. In cardiometabolic diseases, PVAT becomes a significant source of proflammatory adipokines, leading to increased infiltration of immune cells, in cardiometabolic diseases, PVAT becomes a significant source of proinflammatory adipokines, leading to increased infiltration of immune cells, promoting vascular smooth muscle cell proliferation and migrationpromoting vascular smooth muscle cell proliferation and migration.

Background: Leprosy (Hansen's disease) is an infectious disease most common in resource-limited countries caused by the acid-fast bacilli Mycobacterium leprae and Mycobacterium lepromatosis that frequently affects the skin and peripheral nerves. Prompt diagnosis and treatment with multidrug therapy is crucial to reduce disease transmission and sequelae, which include nerve function impairment, ocular injury, and stigmatizing physical deformities. Traditional treatment of multibacillary leprosy consists of 12-24 months of multidrug therapy with dapsone, rifampin, and clofazimine.
