Background And Objectives: Previous reports suggest that including cisplatin plus etoposide in the adjuvant treatment may improve the outcomes in patients with early breast cancer.
Patients And Methods: Forty-one patients with early breast cancer and 4 or more positive lymph nodes were treated with 3 cycles of EoP (oral etoposide plus cisplatin) in addition to 3 cycles of AC (doxorubicin plus cyclophosphamide) and 3 cycles of T (docetaxel) (Group 1). Toxicity and survival results were compared to those with similar disease characteristics who were treated with 4 cycles of AC plus 4 cycles of T (Group 2) during the same period.
Results: There were no long-term side effects related to EoP. While median disease-free and overall survivals were not reached in Group 1, they were 107 ± 13 (p = 0.387) months and 123 ± 5 months (p = 0.618) in Group 2. Likewise 10-year disease-free survivals (DFS) were 59.3% and 44.7% respectively.
Conclusions: The trend towards improvement in survival with adjuvant AC + T + EoP when compared to AC + T needs to be studied in randomized trial.

Early cancer detection substantially improves the rate of patient survival; however, conventional screening methods are directed at single anatomical sites and focus primarily on a limited number of cancers, such as gastric, colorectal, lung, breast, and cervical cancer. Additionally, several cancers are inadequately screened, hindering early detection of 45.5% cases.

Purpose: Whether breast density mediates associations between early life body size and pubertal timing with postmenopausal breast cancer is underexplored.
Methods: We studied 33,939 Danish women attending the Capital Mammography Screening Program at ages 50-69 years. Early life anthropometry and pubertal timing information came from the Copenhagen School Health Records Register.

Transmission imaging may become a possible advance for breast cancer screening with non-invasive, cost-effective, and radiation-free approaches for early detection. Frame accumulation can successfully eliminate the issue of low SNR, low grayscale and poor quality in transmission image. However, frame accumulation accuracy can be diminished because of inherent human body instability during image acquisition and the light absorption characteristics of breast tissue, resulting in distorted and misplaced image sequences.

Purpose: This study aims to assess whether dual anti-HER2 therapy with trastuzumab and pertuzumab increases early cardiac toxicity compared to trastuzumab alone in breast cancer (BC) patients receiving postoperative radiation therapy (RT).
Methods: Consecutive operable BC patients receiving postoperative RT and trastuzumab with or without pertuzumab between January 2017 and September 2020 at seven tertiary hospitals in China were retrospectively reviewed. Cardiac examinations included echocardiography, electrocardiogram (ECG), NT-proBNP, and cTnI at baseline before RT and during the follow-up.

Objective: This retrospective study aimed to evaluate the predictive value of the preoperative dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (DCE-MRI) and diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) findings of mass lesions for predicting sentinel lymph node (SLN) metastasis in early breast cancer.
Methods: A total of 310 patients with suspicious mass lesions detected in preoperative MRI who subsequently underwent surgery and SLN biopsy (SLNB) between September 2015 and September 2022 were analyzed. The relationship between DCE-MRI and DWI findings and SLNB positivity was analyzed.
