We have established the micro-magnetic field on the surfaces of 316L stainless steel and NiTi alloy through the magnetization process of sol-gel prepared TiO(2) thin film with the powder of SrFe(12)O(19). The nano-sized with brown color of SrFe(12)O(19) powder was verified by transmission electron microscope. By using X-ray diffraction, surface roughometer, and corrosion experimental test, the deposited thin film can decrease the etching of body fluid as well as prevent the hazardous Ni ions released from the metal. Moreover, with evaluation of dynamic cruor time test and blood platelets adhesion test, we found the micro-magnetic field of the thin film can improve the blood compatibility.

The fabrication of carbon nanocoil (CNC)-based chiral-dielectric-magnetic trinity composites holds great significance in low-frequency microwave absorption fields. However, it is not clear that how the different magnetic systems affect the magnetic and frequency responses of the composites. Herein, four types of magnetic metals, FeCo, CoNi, FeNi, and FeCoNi, are selected to be combined with the chiral templates respectively, resulting in four types of chiral-dielectric-magnetic composites with similar morphology.

The progressive loss of motor function characteristic of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis is associated with widespread cortical pathology extending beyond primary motor regions. Increasing muscle weakness reflects a dynamic, variably compensated brain network disorder. In the quest for biomarkers to accelerate therapeutic assessment, the high temporal resolution of magnetoencephalography is uniquely able to non-invasively capture micro-magnetic fields generated by neuronal activity across the entire cortex simultaneously.

Magnetic fields are widely used for neuromodulation in clinical settings. The intended effect of magnetic stimulation is that neural activity resumes its pre-stimulation state right after stimulation. Many theoretical and experimental works have focused on the cellular and molecular basis of the acute neural response to magnetic field.

Using first-principles calculations and micro-magnetic simulations, we investigate the electronic structures, the effect of biaxial strain on the topological characteristics, magnetic anisotropy energy (MAE), Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction (DMI) and spin textures in the Janus 1T phase VTeCl (1T-VTeCl) monolayer. Our results show that 1T-VTeCl has an intrinsic edge state, and a topological phase transition with a sizeable band gap is achieved by applying biaxial strain. Interestingly, the MAE can be switched from the in-plane to the off-plane with a compressive strain of -5%.
