Aortic aneurysms and stenosis occurring in Takayasu arteritis may require aortic prosthesis that can be complicated by aorto-digestive fistula. We report a 41-year-old female who presented with an isolated abdominal pain revealing a para-prosthetic aorto-duodenal fistula complicating a Takayasu arteritis. The diagnosis of aorto-digestive fistula may be difficult if abdominal pain is isolated and imaging inconclusive. Surgical procedure may be necessary to obtain the diagnosis and constitutes the main part of the treatment before fatal outcome.

Computed tomography was suggestive of a mid-small bowel perforation associated with a distal ovoid soft tissue density structure without pneumobilia. An urgent laparotomy demonstrated two areas of jejunal diverticula necrosis and perforation associated with a 3 cm luminal mass in the proximal ileum, and proximal small bowel dilatation.

Primary hepatic carcinosarcoma (HCS) is an extremely rare malignant tumor with carcinomatous and sarcomatous elements. Few reported cases of HCS exist, especially with sufficient records to describe imaging and pathological features, making the diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of HCS a significant challenge for physicians. Objective: This report details the complexities of diagnosing and treating rapid-onset multisystemic hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) during pregnancy, as evidenced by a fatal case in early pregnancy with severe hematological and obstetric complications.
Case Presentation: A 20-year-old pregnant woman in her second pregnancy presented at 8 weeks of gestation with abdominal pain, fever, and rectal bleeding. Laboratory tests revealed leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, and anemia, leading to immediate transfusion and intensive care unit admission.

Dysfunction of the vagus nerve has been suggested as a contributing factor in various gastrointestinal disorders, prompting interest in vagus nerve stimulation (VNS) as a non-pharmacological therapy. We performed a systematic review to determine the efficacy of invasive and non-invasive VNS in gastrointestinal disorders, including inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), functional dyspepsia (FD), functional constipation, gastroesophageal reflux disease, and gastroparesis. We applied a systematic search of the literature in the PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, and Cochrane Library databases in order to identify studies comparing VNS with an adequate control condition (sham stimulation) in patients with gastrointestinal disorders.
