Purpose Of Review: Early identification of cerebral palsy (CP), as in all neurologic conditions, has a profound impact on the ability to initiate interventions, support the education and empowerment of parents, ameliorate the effect of the conditions, and importantly identifies cohorts for neuroprotection or repair to address the primary injury. G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) adopt conformational states that activate or inhibit distinct signaling pathways, including those mediated by G proteins or β-arrestins. Biased signaling through GPCRs may offer a promising strategy to enhance therapeutic efficacy while reducing adverse effects. Cannabinoid receptor 1 (CB1), a key GPCR in the endocannabinoid system, presents therapeutic potential for conditions such as pain, anxiety, cognitive impairment, psychiatric disorders, and metabolic diseases.

We already demonstrated that microinjection of oxytocin (OT) into the central nucleus of amygdala (CeA) induces hypergrooming in Wistar rats, a model of compulsion. Furthermore, the Wistar Audiogenic Rat (WAR) strain is a genetic model of generalized tonic-clonic seizures.
